Mass report of massive fake nominations, Schwarzenberg thread 2.1

City: Schwarzenberg
Country: Germany

The town of Schwarzenberg was well known for massive fake nominations. Most of the nominations exist somewhere in or around this town, but very often not at the submitted location…
Back in the times of the old forum we had there at least half a dozen threads with mass reports about this town. The staff people “have taken action on [a three-digit number] wayspots according to [their] policies” … and the town is small, 15k inhabitants.

So here we go again. For few years it was silent there, but since the ING and the PGO databases were split, the PGO fakers there might have found new motivation. I guess the faking PGO players hope, that they go under the radar, because ING-agents reported all the fakes. I’m bound to say … we are stubborn too.

So let’s start with the first bunch of fakes. I’ll add more …

Title of the wayspot: Karte Schwarzenberg
Fake Location: 50.538381, 12.785902
Requested action: deletion
Proof:
(1) this map doesnt appear in streetview. Even the backgrounds wooden structure is nowhere around …
Streetview of the Location
(2) another ING-agent already reported a wayspot of the same kind there, and it was removed, and it reappeared …

Title of the wayspot: Civitas Schwarzenberg Sockel
Fake location: 50.537994, 12.782824
Requested action: moving or deletion
Proof: The object seems to be a trash bin. I found one of these 100m nearby, but it’s not the location of the photo. It’s not possible to take a photo in that angle there. Besides that,iIn the top right corner in background of the wayspots picture you can see a earthwire at a wall. At the location of thas trash bin there is no such earthwire around.
Imho the object itself is okay in front of the criteria, if it’s unique … but I guess it’s not unique there.

Title of the wayspot: Kutsche zum Oberen Tor
location: 50.537687, 12.782645
requested action: moving to 50.537228,12.78295
proof of the real location: https://www.google.com/maps/@50.537318,12.7831161,3a,45y,225.52h,95.31t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sUyGnDCnLU44RQS9p5xN-Uw!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D-5.3104412352059285%26panoid%3DUyGnDCnLU44RQS9p5xN-Uw%26yaw%3D225.51608964592054!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDIxMC4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

Title of the wayspot: Wandbild “Schloss, Ritter Georg und Drache”
location: 50.539060, 12.784951
requested action: deletion:
proof: the real location: streetview
The fake location is inaccessible. At the other side of the river is only the supply driveway of a big supermarket (Kaufland). So it’s clearly PoGo abuse to fill an empty L17 cell.
In streetview you can see, that there is a bunch of huts along the street. Inside is a lot of christmas themed wood carvings and sculptures, typical art of the region. During summer times the huts are closed, and the banners or info boards are mounted in front of them.
So there are some wayspots for the interieur, and some wayspots for the outside stuff. Imho the interieur-spots are better, because those are there all year, although only 2(?) months open.
So please remove the reported stop, and don’t touch the others around there.
Maybe the order of the huts contents there could be wrong, but that’s okay for our community … there is a bunch of huts, and a bunch of wayspots, whose distribution is accordingly … the exact order isn’t necessary …

Attention: the following reports are related to a former graveyard (German: Friedhof). It isn’t an active graveyard. It’s a historical one, that is nowadays a park (google also flags it as park, not graveyard). So wayspots in and around that arent invalid because of that.

Title of the wayspot: Infotafel 3 Glocken
fake location: 50.534436, 12.779530
real location: right next to this wayspot: 50.536373, 12.780873
Proof: The infoboard is about the 3 bells, that are the other wayspot inside the former graveyard. So the infoboard needs to be inside there, right next to the bells.
The fake location is furthermore a private backyard.

Title of the wayspot: Infotafel Richard Unger
Fake location: 50.533838, 12.777974
proof:
The wayspot is an infoboard about a historical building, that doesnt exist anymore. The last two sentences on the infoboard tell something about the real location.
“Die Gastwirtschaft befand sich direkt gegenüber dem St.Georgenfriedhof. 1990 wurde das Gebäude abgerissen” translates to: “The pub was directly next to Saint George Graveyard. The building was demolished in 1990.”
The mentioned graveyard you can find here.

I’m not able to find the real location. Maybe you can, with the help of the support picture of exif data. It’s most likely inside the former graveyard since there are other infoboards of the same design inside of it.

Here again … the wayspot was placed in a private backyard. PGO abuse to fill an useless and empty L17 cell …

Title of the wayspot: Infotafel Fritz Adler
Fake Location: 50.537364,12.778545
The fake location is a private backyard.

The infoboard fits the style of the infoboards from the former graveyard. Its topic fits also, because it tells the story of a person born in 1877, died 1956.

Title of the wayspot: Infotafel Walter Fröbe
Fake location: 50.537857,12.779318
Similar to the last one also private backyard, and infoboard about a long dead person in the style of the graveyards infoboards.

Title: Infotafel Arthur Fleckeisen
Fake location: 50.538651,12.780062
And another infoboard of the same style in a private backyard …

Titleof the wayspot: Infotafel Eduard Breitfeld
Fake location: 50.538794,12.778802
And another one in the bushes behind garages…

And another one …
Title of the wayspot: Infotafel Arthur Vogel
Fake location: 50.537872,12.781267

Title of the wayspot: Infotafel Sowjetische Kriegsgräberanlage
Fake location: 50.536759, 12.790902
real location: again somewhere inside the small former graveyard
proof: the object is an infoboard for a soviet monument and graves of WW2. Wikipedia has a picture of it (link), and says, that it’s located at the small former graveyard. And the infoboard fits the design of the others there.

Title of the wayspot: Infotafel Europäische Fernwanderwege
fake location: 50.533389, 12.777351
proof: In streetview it’s not there. On 1st glance the house there looks similar due to the slate facade … but on a 2nd look the house at the real location is way bigger than the house in the background of the wayspots picture.

Fake location: 50.534592, 12.783031
Real location: 50.5346139,12.7824107 (Streetview link)

It’s in that entrance. You can verify it with streetview and this photo I found online:

Title: Wasserspeier
fake location: 50.533796, 12.783213
requested action: deletion
proof: Streetview link
It’s simply not there. Doesnt fit any of the houses around the location.

Fake location: 50.535564, 12.785485
Real location: 50.5368813,12.7865386
Proof:
(1) a blogpost about the creation of this thing with a photo of the foundation link
(2) Streetview (older than the object, but it shows the surroundings)

Title: Infotafel Ernst Schmidt
Fake location: 50.535494, 12.784068
Proof: Streetview It’s not there …

May I add the duplicate wayspots

Holz-Skulptur Sänger at 50.534946,12.787560

and
Geschnitzte Sängerin 50.541129,12.774307

Although I am wondering if you sent these through the abuse form already?

I had proposed that as well in a different chat, they prefer the forum

That’s fine but would that technically make this not an appeal?

no

Since lots of this stuff has to be done twice, for PoGo and for ING, I prefer this way.
Further it’s better to track the stuff here … I did mass reports in the old forum, and it was a way better expierience compared to the abuse form afterwards.
For single reports the abuse form is totally fine, but not for locations with dozens of fakes …

Ok sure! I’ve had pretty good experiences with mass reports through the form but whatever you prefer is fine

Next two fakes are related to wayspot “Blaue Lokomotive” at 50.536575, 12.787197 (a blue locomotive)

Title: Infotafel Rangierlok
fake location: 50.536384, 12.789118
requested action: moving
real location: a little bit to the left of the wayspot mentioned above
proof: the infoboard is about this locomotive, and you can see its wheel in the background.

Title: Wegweiser “Rockelmannpark”
fake location: 50.536262, 12.789725
real location: the other parking space closer to the locomotive …
proof: locomotive and parking area in the background
requested action: deletion, since its location is fake, and theobject doesnt fulfill any criterion. this post only shows the direction to a park and an outdoor stage, that have lots of own wayspots.

Title: Schwarzenberg Puzzle
Fake location: 50.535725, 12.787898
Real location: a bit north of the locomotive
requested action: moving
proof: Streetview link This thing can be seen right next to the locomotive. Due to the bad zoom and pixelation … turn around in SV and you will see the 3 powerboxes from the background of the wayspots picture.

2x the same fake object

Title 1: Infotafel Schlosspark Schwarzenberg
fake location 1: 50.537467, 12.791154

Title 2: Infotafel Schlosspark
fake location 2: 50.537916,12.787769

real location: 50.5373369,12.7868763
requested action: moving one of them, deleting the other one
proof:
the object has its own location marked on the map, so the real location is in front of the castle.

Some strange sheeps:

Two sheeps with the exact same portal picture:

Title 1: Tier-Lehrpfad Station Schaf
Location 1: 50.536671, 12.784770
Title 2: Tier-Lehrpfad Schaf
Location 2: 50.537901, 12.788806

Third sheep with different picture:
Title: Tier-Lehrpfad Station: kleines Schaf
Location: 50.536870, 12.789969

The submitter sells these sheeps as infoboards of an educational trail. It’s a lie. Those sheeps are advertising about the 875th anniversary of the town - you can see a 875 logo in the yellow box, but the silhuette of the town (with church and castle) is cut out …

Those sheep are obviously not unique, the submitter lied about them, and they are at fake locations. So i request to remove them all.

Similar to the sheep there is also this dragon:
Title of the wayspot: Tier-Lehrpfad Station: “Drache”
Fake Location: 50.540723,12.782563
Proof: Streetview link
No fence and no house around that location fits the waypot picture. Also the direction sign with “Eisenbahnmuseum” (=train museum) isnt here. The train museum is somewhere else …
(object cant be in streetview, it’s new)
