Missing Appeals :- is this intentional?

I’ve been submitting new wayspots recently as per the enjoyment of both playing the games (sometimes) and now the reviewing process (which feels like I’ve got a new job) however someone or the system recently is turning down my nominations with reasons that I can’t seem to use myself when reviewing which is weird.

Reason 1) Not Permanent /Temporary/Seasonal

Reason 2) Wayfarer Criteria (unless is another name for fake nomination or abuse I dunno :man_shrugging:

Now some items I submit I’m doing to fill in a gap between a long distance between Wayspots and to trick those pesky Ingress Enemies but while the other side of the estate the same type of item got approved and remains so it seems one rule for that item and another rule for another eg…Roadside Postboxes (yes I know there’s a thread on this)

Now when I get the email rejection of I check my Wayfarer Dashboard I’m seeing the not accepted or Reject Red Badge but while the email states to make an appeal which I did use originally when I was learning the system these were there and effective however I haven’t seen any “appeals” buttons or credits towards an appeal anywhere on the system since.

Are these limited time things or has something broke on Wayfarer/Lightship ?? Any thoughts or inputs on this.

You can hold up to two appeals. Each time you use one, you need to wait 20 days from using it before you’re given another one.

I must have missed that somewhere then, maybe @NianticAaron or the @admins can add a section on Wayfarer that shows how many Appeals a user has like you said and a countdown timer from when you last used them.

It seems daft that you can only hold 2 though as when all my submissions got rejected initially then I’m sure I appealed all 3.

Maybe and this is only a suggestion we can gain a new appeal at certain percentages of reviewing eg.
25%/50%/75%/ and the Grand Reward of 1 Upgrade Token which does seem a bit extreme and a lot of hard work though for a small reward.

We are the Backbone of the Niantic Empire and well what do we get out of it other than Waypoints in game and hassle :person_shrugging:

People sometimes use that if it doesn’t meet the criteria, because if you thumbs down exploration, socialization, and exercise, then it’ll actually count as you accepted it.

Wayfarer Criteria typically means it was rejected by ML, and the emails will say it was rejected by “our team”.

There is a tool available that you can add on that will count down your appeals if you are comfortable using those. Since @tehstone is involved in providing it, I am confident that it is not pulling any information that it shouldn’t.
