Did you review or submit 200 edits?
The Global Edits Challenge was different from past challenges. There was no reviewing piece for us in this one. Rewards were based on submitting edits through either Ingress or Pokemon Go.
Yes. I thought the threshold was 150 but regardless, I remember doing a decent number above the limit just to make sure I made it.
Submissions?
Reviewing did not count for the challenge.
If you made submissions, they will be showing in your contributions page.
[Lol edited again to try to make it clear that it was submitting edits that counted for the challenge, not reviewing edits. I realized from a later comment that this could be read as submitting Wayspot nominations, which also did not count.]
Yes they were submissions. The challenge was for edits, not sure what the difference between submissions and edits.
In my profile, I started with around 880 submissions and I am at 1090

I see that you’re referring to reviewing submissions which is not what the challenge was about. You had to submit edits to existing Wayspots through in-game. I see that you did not submit enough edits to be eligible for the rewards.
I did not know it was in-game edits. Re-reading the initial post, it is not clear that these were edits through the scanner.
Thank you for the quick replies.
It was categorically called out in the initial announcement:
Let us know where the wording can be more clear or if a “tl,dr” summary would help for future challenges.
I was thinking I was submitted an edit via reviewing submissions.
I think it could have been clearer by adding instructions.
My tl;dr would be:
Agents, submit edits through your scanner. When viewing the Portal screen, select the icon on the top right, then the three dots, and finally select the appropriate edit/change. Submssions through the website do not count for this challenge.
Edit for grammer
that is a good suggestion imo. instructions on how to submit an edit through the games would have helped explorers who have never done that. i recall helping some people figure out how to make them. and it would have made it clearer what you had to do to participate.
you are not the only person who assumed that a wayfarer challenge would involve reviewing. i am sorry that anyone who wanted to participate misunderstood the challenge.
