Extremely generic, all businesses look like this right?
What was your title and description? Did you submit this as art or as the business there?
You’ve cut the title off, and that description really isn’t great.
Are you nominating the business, or the paint job that was done by L.A. Painting? If it’s the paint job, did you explain the significance of it to the local community in your supporting info? To me it doesn’t really look like “art”. It looks more like a contracted paint job to freshen up the building.
Title: Artsee Eyewear Facade
Description: Hudson, NY
I don’t remember what the tags were but I’m pretty mural was one.
I would have trouble accepting this with that title as well. The art is the interesting thing here. I would resubmit this with a title that makes clear I am submitting the art and a description about the art. I didn’t realize that was your description and not just the location. If you can find anything about the artist, include that. I will look.
but really helps let the reviewers know what you are submitting.
Any suggestions for a new title, I tried to be as specific as possible.
First hit on a Google Lens search is for this company, who features this work in their gallery
So you can credit them for the mural.
I can’t tell what the business there is, and lapainting didn’t name the work on their website, so I might just use a title like Diagonal Stripes Mural and then include the name of the business it is on in the description.
I am not that great with creative wording, so get a few more suggestions before you submit.
You also have the option to appeal this rejection if you would rather. But you only have 2 appeals, each on a 20 day counter before you can use them again, so I normally try to submit a couple of times before I appeal.
If I try to not enter a description when submitting a wayspot through Pokémon Go, it literally will not let me. That doesn’t seem optional to me if it can’t be left blank during the submission process.
I appreciate the help. I’m going to try to improve my submissions from now on because I feel like this is a no-brainer. Hudson has one main street that concentrates the interesting businesses and has a ton of people visit from NYC. But the number of Poké stops needs to reach a critical point where you can play without running out of resources like Poké balls.
The description is terrible.
In both Pokémon GO & Ingress you need to enter a description when submitting.
I think the only reason that it mentions it’s optional is to cover any leftover nominations from the old Ingress app when you didn’t need a description so that reviewers don’t reject those for not having one.
I can see others have given advice on how to improve the description so best of luck with your future nominations.
That’s why I was confused because there are so many stops without a description where I am, coupled with the fact it says optional when it’s really not.
i do see this featured in a lot of places when i do that google lens search. it does seem important to the area.
Yeah, that’s how it used to be on OPR/old Ingress.
I’ll share one here, that even has the opr.ingress.com as an example if someone wanted to refer back to it.
So it’s likely the ones you see with no description, have been submitted back then.
Worth remembering if we get an Edits Challenge again, as you could add a description.
