Multiple Nominations stuck either in queue or voting

I have multiple Nominations since June and my first couple of them got accepted in 2-3 days of posting them.

However the rest of them have since been stuck either in queue or in voting phase with no movement.
While I do understand there is no fixed time limit for a nomination to go from queue to voting or for a in voting nomination to get accepted/rejected, what I can’t understand is how did a couple of them get through the whole process in 2 days while the rest have been stuck in the same status for over 1.5 months(nearly 2 now).
To test this further I grinded for an upgrade and that single nomination got accepted within a day but never showed up in the game( I understand this might be due to it being in the same cell).

I just want to know why are my nominations stuck and not changing their status

Okay. The ones that were decided fast were probably approved by the ML model - Niantic’s machine learning ai. Those emails will say “our team” has decided.

The upgrades and other decisions taking longer than normal has been addressed here:

That said, it will take a while to see what normal for your area is.

You said you understood that it might be in a same cell, but I will include this anyway. A good reference to see why something can be accepted as a Wayspot but not show in Pokemon Go is this article:

We have seen voting times as short as minutes and as long as years. Hopefully the upgrades will start to work like we expect after this issue has been addressed.

Welcome @uniecron
It is a perfectly reasonable question to ask, however there is no simple clear answer.
There may be several things that you are seeing.
The ones that you submitted and that had a very fast resolution may have been to being auto-accepted by the machine learning programme (Emily) the accept email will typically refer to “our team”
The upgrade being applied and leading to fast resolution is what you should expect an upgrade to do as it sends your submission to a wider pool of reviewers so it can get resolved. Although it may well have been also an Emily accept.
The remainder are with your more limited community for review. Depending on the number of reviewers and the number of nominations to be reviewed will mean the time taken will vary.
Do feel free to ask further questions.

So far I have reviewed 325 submissions with only 85 of them getting decided(accepted/rejected/duplicate) and only earning one upgrade from all of this.

Does this mean my submissions will take months to get decided due to low amount of reviewers in the local community?

Is there any other way except upgrades for the status of my current nominations to change sometime in near future?

It sounds as though it is a slow area.
As your rating is at fair then your reviews are not weighted to count as much. It might be worth having are read at criteria to check you are reviewing correctly as that might be the reason for the slow progress towards upgrades.
If that reflections raises some queries you can ask and check your understanding here.
Every now and then we have challenges and the rewards usually include upgrades. So watch out for them. If others local to you are interested in developing the data base and therefore potential for ingame pokestops/gyms encourage them to think about learning about wayfarer.

Do you happen to know a reliable way to check for S2 cells? So I can plan better for pokestop nominations

My rating so far is only fair because only 1 out of 4 pokestops I have reviewed have been given a verdict while all of the rest are still in voting phase for months so I can’t increase my rating even if I want to since they don’t get a verdict to prove my correct review.

It just feels like there’s no point in doing nominations or reviews in my area due to lack of other players causing everything to slow down and get delayed

search google for “iitc” and “pogo tools”
