Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information): It was accepted
Additional Information (if any): The wayspot was moved from the original location to the wrong spot. It is not visible in pokemon go so i am not able to report it.
There is a playground above it as this frisbee golf goal is a bit downhill and at the edge of the playground/park.
This is about the location i selected
Reviewers are able to move location pins while reviewing, if they feel there is a better, more accurate location. If you placed is specifically in the wrong place just so it would show up in PoGo, this can be seen as trying to manipulate the map, which is considered abuse.
If you do feel that the new location is inaccurate, you can request a location edit in help chat. It’s best to provide them with either a geotagged photo or Scaniverse splat to prove the correct location.
I’d also like to note that individual frisbee gold tees/holes aren’t usually eligible to be Wayspots, as the entire course is considered 1 Wayspot per clarification:
If there is no signage for the course, you can have a tee represent the entire course, but it shouldn’t be placed within the field of play.
Help chat is on the Wayfarer website, and is the orange chat bubble in the bottom right. If you don’t see if, click on Help.
It still would have been better to go with the first tee instead of a hole, as there is going to be Frisbees flying at the hole, and someone playing PoGo there could impede the field of play. We have had users come across this issue before, hence one of the reasons we have the clarification on courses. Tee boxes see less activity than holes, and placing a Waysot next to the tee would be safer than placing it at a hole.
In person, physically at the location, you can go to the pokestop submission screen in Pokemon Go and look at the map that is displayed, making sure the toggle is turned on to show existing objects.
You can then see all existing pokestops/gyms, additonal wayspots and powerspots.
This is the only way. There is no map anywhere else.
You will be able to see where the wayspot is in the nomination map screen. You go to the location (it does not work remotely) and begin a nomination. With the toggle in the bottom left corner turned on, you will see the wayspot as an exclamation point. Tap on them until you find yours. Example:
Thanks for your answers. Im sad it has to stay in the wrong location, meaning no pokestop will appear. Just feels unfair when i see pictures and videoes of locations with their screen full of stops and gyms, and here we have to walk a good bit between each stop.
But thats pogo life, have a great summer
Checked the location, and it was further off than i originally said. Orange is the new wayspot, blue is the football field, and my pin is on the frisbee location.
This means that the new waypoint is basically on the graveled path between the road and the parking lot. This is quite steep terrain so the length seems less than in real life.
You do realize that people have limited information. There are no street view and satelite is not helping
If you think the location is wrong, you need to present more evidence. Put yourself in reviewer shoes. How to ensure people who see it can be sure without doubt that its in wrong location?
My advice is get geotagged photo in that spot. Video will help. I find your explanation in original post doesnt help enough.
I understand its hard for reviewers to decide the exact position of the waypoint, but why move it to the wrong location instead of using the location the sender used?
Sorry, let me clarify a bit. Accessing a Wayspot doesn’t mean entering the range of a PokéStop; it means physically touching the object in real. If a Niantic game player is standing in a location where they could touch this basket, competitors won’t be able to throw the disc toward the basket. Or worse, the disc could hit the player directly in the head and cause injury. That’s why the basket’s location isn’t correct.
