Need help on making Cafe submission guide

Greetings.

So I just made a cafe submission guide and posted it on facebook, think this would get high reaction. However, the post somehow is my lowest performance consider how cultural and abundant coffee shop is.

I want to seek you guys help to make this post more engagement or more accurate/helpful. It is translation from my language so mistranslated happened.

P/s: Ignore Pokestop, that’s the easiest way to communicate with people in that group.

[Post Pokestop] How to post a Cafe.

First of all, all cafes can be eligible for pokestop. However, the ability to get there depends largely on how “unique” and convincing you are. I will guide you how to post

  1. Answer the question: “Why is this cafe outstanding, better than the neighboring cafes?”

a. If you are a new person from the street, why should you invite them to this cafe?

Outdoor space, special environment..
Organize events, organize clubs, ..
Good menu, special drinks. Special menu.
A gathering place for many people in the same street
High reviews (use google map), many people are interested (Facebook link of the cafe).

b. There are awards, press links, and rankings to join this cafe.

This is harder to find, but it is highly convincing, so it will be easier to approve.

c. If you have murals, art gates, prominent wall paintings, statues, etc., you should post them.

2. Take photos.

If your photos are beautiful, the reviewers will be more sympathetic to your post. It’s like you create an impression for the viewer, why this cafe should be visited, the first impression.

Note: The photos must be taken by yourself, not with people, cars, or animals.

The second photo can contain people and cars, and you can use that photo to demonstrate the strengths of the shop.

3. Post.

A. Pokestop content (DESCRIPTION): List all the strengths in the description, as if you were inviting people. I usually describe the shop like:

Located at {xyz}, this cafe is a place where many people in the city can {what event}, {enjoy what menu}.

Note: please don’t exaggerate, tell just enough, be brief. Not so short that there are no highlights, but don’t be too long.

B. Additional information: State the reason why this cafe meets 1 of 3 criteria: Social communication/ Discovery/ Fitness. At the end, you send reference links.

For example: This cafe brings {Strength A}, suitable for criterion {1 of 3 criteria}, … Moreover {Strength B} {Other criteria}. Reference link: {gg.map}

You can post your sample article for me to refer to.

From threads on this forum, I now think that cafes, as they are places where people most definitely go to socialise, even more so than restaurants, are acceptable wayspots. All of them that have seating, although I am hesitant about the chains.

I don’t think it should be necessary to say this cafe is outstanding or much better than all the others, or that it does more than the others, or has high reviews.

Your comments about photos apply to every submission for every wayspot :slight_smile:

I agree with highlighting the special things about the cafe, whether that’s locally sourced food, special events or unique menu items etc.

One thing that’s important to do is back it all up in your supporting information. If you tell me that Aspir Cafe does its own unique twist on hot chocolate by putting liquorice in there, give me a link to a menu showing me this weird creation being listed. If you tell me that Daggar Place is a coffee shop that won the award for best ground coffee in 2021, give me a link so I can confirm that.

Same applies for any other nomination too. Make it as simple as you can for the reviewer to accept if you believe it is eligible. As a reviewer I should be able to look at it, verify what you’ve said and then give it a :+1:

Yo! Back from being busy and done with the night. Greatly appriciate all of your feedback and I wanna reply back.

I really agree! However the density of the coffee shop in this country is high, so the part where it is outstanding is to tell what is the special part of the coffee shop, that I should visit it.

Yep! But I want to highlight that since Coffee shop are among some of the toughest submission, I think having a great photo to showcase is really really important. I don’t mean “taking” low quality photo for wayspot that will 100% approved, it is more of “make the best first impression”

Nah, it is just the community is really helpful and I want to help back, especially with Rural player whose the only great stuff is coffee shop as social hub.
