I’m also asking so I can make a better decision myself. What is necessary in a description to make it clear to the checker that this is a good meeting place? What is the correct procedure for cafes that aren’t chains?

Ich liebe dieses Café schon jetzt, denn es gibt viel zu wenige in Deutschland mit Spielbereich!
Leider ist es so, dass Geschäfte immer schwierig zu verkaufen sind. Du wirst vielleicht sogar noch ein paar Anläufe brauchen, oder du gehst über die Option Einspruch. Davon hast du 2 alle 20 Tage.
Dein Supportfoto finde ich gut.
Beim Hauptfoto würde ich entweder versuchen das Namensschild noch mehr zu fokussieren, oder ein nettes Frontalbild vom Café zu bekommen.
Ich habe deinen Beitrag übrigens von Wayspot Appeals nach Nomination Support verschoben. Der Appeals Bereich ist für Einsprüche zu abgelehnten Entfernungsreports oder wenn ein Wayspot entfernt wurde der wieder reinstalliert werden soll.

I got kopitiam approved before but this one is not chain (c8 means citra8 for the area name) and the kopitiam have many table and vendor so its good place for people gather.
This was how I submitted a cafe recently and had it approved by reviewers. I had to use this steep angle to avoid showing all the faces of customers, as inside all the tables were full and there are big windows.
I mentioned some of the things this place is known for - they always make fresh orange juice at the bar for breakfasts, and sell nice coffee. They sell alcoholic drinks but also have games and drawing stuff for children (and adults) available. Its the kind of place you could go to with a deck of cards and play at your table with some food and drinks. So I tried to talk about those things briefly in the description because they make it a bit different from other places around the area.
Your nomination seems good, my german isnt strong but it seems you already did many of the things I did. Maybe try a different main picture that shows more of the frontage than just the sign? I would have approved this as is though. Good luck!
These are some “example” descriptions, that I have successfully used when nominating cafés/ restaurants -

If you like dumplings, you must stop here. The dumplings here are top notch and the chicken lollipops are heavenly. Do your yourself a favor and grab a few of your friends and come down to this restaurant. Order a few serves of the chili momo and just enjoy life for awhile. You will not be disappointed.
These descriptions may not translate culturally to your area but they should provide you with a thought starter (or two). I also find that you can get a good idea from reading some reviews on the café that you are nominating.
You then need to focus in your supporting commentary as to what makes this restaurant / café - important to your local community.
Here is an example of the Supplemental Information that i generally use …. “Nomination is a family run Vietnamese restaurant. It is a good local place for socialising and exploration, is not a chain store, and is a favourite gathering place amongst both the local community and the “cheap eats” crowd. It has highly positive reviews through social media and review channels such as Google where it has an average of 4.4 out of 5 star rating (based on **** reviews) and has **** followers on Instagram. The restaurant has been open for the past **** years and offers locals an opportunity to sit, chat, share a drink and a meal with family and friends and strangers alike. Nomination is readily accessible with safe pedestrian access evident via sealed walkway. Website - ****”
