Need help/suggestions for Wayspot! - Pokemon Go

Hello all!
I recently just got into Wayfarer, and I had a bit of a predicament I need some help with.
In the area I play Pokemon Go, there’s only 2 Pokestops, and no Gym. This is because the only two Pokestops are separated by the grid of a Level 14 Cell. Both of these stops are on the same playground. One of the stops (the northernmost stop) is a showcase pokestop that is located on the sign of the park. The other stop (southernmost stop) is for the swings of the park. Unfortunately, the grid of the Level 14 cell is driven right between the two stops, and there is no gym formed because of this. Additionally, the stop for the sign is right on the grid of the level 17 cell, but is mostly in the section with the rest of the playground, making the actual playground ineligible for nomination. Each of these stops are the only stop in the entirety of each level 14 cell. My goal is to create a Wayspot that could become a Gym at this park, but it doesn’t seem possible without moving either of the stops (which I’m unsure is possible). Any and all help is greatly appreciated, as I’ve wanted a gym here for years! Thank you!
Attached are images of the park I want the gym at, as well as a screenshot of the rest of the cells, showing that they are devoid of other Wayspots.

Hi!
With T cell breakdown, if you creat a waypoint on either side of the cell divide, it would bump one of those to a gym. Is there a way to nominate additional spots around the park? Is their a park name sign, additional parts to the playground, a picnic area, or something like a basketball court/tennis court?

Hello!
Thank you for the reply! I’m unfamiliar with “T cell breakdown,” but that does sound like what I could need from your description. Unfortunately, the only other parts of the park that I believe would be valid nominations are in zones with wayspots already, due to the way the stop on the park’s sign leans more towards the south. The only thing I could think would work would be if I was still able to nominate the actual playground despite the cell technically having a stop already. Unless there’s some sort of “coinflip” logic applied with a stop sitting on the grid, or some other feature I’m unaware of.

Moving wayspot to empty cell for the sake of creating gym is considered abuse. So dont do that. I recommend you look ard the area again to find other thing to submit. If you can get 1 wayspot on each lv14 cells you can get 2 gyms. Is there any gazebo or local gathering spot nearby? Religious place? Park/playground? Boundry? Unique art?

There’s really nothing I could submit that would be a “quality” pokestop unfortunately. The only things I could consider are the other benches and “rest areas” in the park, but everything else in the area is private property, or so close to private property that it would appear that someone was trying to get a “home pokestop”

Is it possible to share the coordinate so other can take a look

What is the big green thing at the bottom of the left L14?

It’s just farmland/private crops.

i meant as in, breaking down individual t cells haha.

Okay, so I actually found your park (i’m a map freak i’m sorry.) Zooming in on your images anyways, I identified the picnic area. That can be an excellent spot! There’s several tables. I’d argue you could stand on the path looking at them and nominate there at the curvature. Some would argue against it but. I personally would pass that even if i was being nitpicky with nominations. If you’re on the fence about that, the “Orland Township Open Space” sign is perfect. I’d nominate that and the picnic area anyways.

I was considering the picnic tables, but was worried about the distance being an issue with them already being in an occupied cell. Also, the “Open Space” signs are no longer there unfortunately. Unless I’m able to submit a nomination with old photos? To be honest, I’ve never nominated anything before- I want to get it right and figure this all out before that

Sidenote: thank you all for the input!

what are you calling “t cells”?

Dont worry about this. Unused wayspot might become powerspot. It still benefit you

Ah, just saw that street view was a bit outdated. thank you!
I would try any of these red points i made here. starting with the far right one, you could call it “Freedom Park” and try and get the entire park area in the photo.
next to the left you can call “Freedom Park Picnic Area”
left of that you can call “Freedom Park Field” i see a baseball diamond used to be there, and evidence on google maps that soccer has been played there.
and then the final one to the left i’d highlight as the “Freedom Park Trail Bench”
It actually looks like an awesome trail system, I’d loop that thing on mornings with my dog easily.

I hope all of this helps! That’s exciting that it will be your first submissions!

I don’t see anything that I would recommend nominating in an open L17 S2 cell. But you could work with the homeowners association and check into setting up a little free library for the community. This area beside the bike rack would be an excellent location for one and just happens to be in a position that would be eligible to go live in pokemon go.

Wow, thank you so much for the very detailed reply. This means a lot to me, and I am going to gather as much supporting information as I can and submit some nominations as soon as I am able to!

I really like this suggestion, I’m gonna see what could be done.

It is a shame the “Open Space” signs are gone, because I would have recommended submitting that. The open space still would be eligible if you could take a photo that shows the intended use of the area, but I don’t have any idea how to recommend you do that. A field of grass would be really hard to get accepted. Don’t use old photos - use current photos you take yourself.

I also imagine that I shouldn’t stage a photo, huh? I could imagine getting some picnic blankets and sports equipment set up for a picture, but iirc those get denied.
