Need to move an approved pokestop

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: Russell Ranch Playground
  • Location (lat/lon): 30798 Russell Ranch Rd, Westlake Village, CA 91362, USA
  • City: Westlake Village
  • Country: USA
  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information): This stop was actually approved!

  • Additional Information (if any): This Pokestop was actually approved. However, it is too close to another existing stop, causing it to not appear in the game. I tried to resubmit the stop a second time by moving the location slightly, but this attempt was marked as a duplicate entry. Somehow I think the wayspot shows up in wayfarer but not in the game.

Is it possible to move an existing approved request so that it shows up in game?

Hello and welcome,

You cannot ask to have a Wayspot moved so that it appears in-game, as this would be considered manipulating the map, which is considered abuse and against the ToS. Location edits can only be requested if the location is inaccurate.

Hi there! Congrats on the approval but sorry about the luck, here.

I think the explanation above covers things. I took at look at what I think the area is and I think it’s a bit unfortunate that the playground appears to be large enough it could have been placed to appear in game but to move it now would be against how Wayfarer chooses to operate. If the location it is currently at is correct then staff deems changes from a correct location as unnecessary.

For what it’s worth, I suspect it’s eligible to be in the rotation of Powerspots? In some areas, I’d rather have a few Powerspots than an additional PokéStop, but I understand that not everyone enjoys that gaming aspect.

What is the structure located nearby the parking lot? Is that something that could potentially be nominated?

Moved to nomination support as this is not suitable for appeals section as that is for specific rejected requests.
