New Pokestop not showing up

I have a similar situation where my accepted pokestop ended up being in same s2 cell as existing ingame pokestop. Is there a way to request the existing in game pokestop to be moved out of the cell so my accepted pokestop can appear in game?

Any request for a location edit must be an actual correction. If you need to correct something but are unable to request the move in game, you can use help chat from the help menu on the wayfarer sit. A speech bubble will pop up, and a bot will collect the information from you, but a human will make the decision. If it isn’t clear on Google Maps, they made need a geotagged photo from you. But they will not move something just to make it appear in one of the games.

Well the play structures = existing in game pokestop and my accepted Gazebo pokestop(not in game) are both in a park. If i request location edit on play structures, then they woudl be couple meters away from current location, but still inside the park. I just want to know if i am out of luck or there could be solution?

if you tell me the location i can look at the map and see if i think that a location edit is called for. i am not niantic, but i know they consider moving for game manipulation to be abuse.

if “couple meters away from current location” means that you would be moving them away from their actual position in real life, do not submit the edit.

i added a screenshot image below wtih the red marker with circle. The “X” = the accepted pokestop for park gazebo, which isn’t in game. The current location is 43.655697, -79.787496

Both appear to be correctly placed. Sometimes it is just like that. Not everything can be a Pokestop.

here is an overview of the whole park. it is mainly in three L17 S2 cells, and they have something in them

or petition whoever is in charge of the park to add a little free library or an exercise station in those corners that don’t have something already =)

I have a question–

If a recent nomination was accepted but didn’t show up in Ingress or Pokemon Go because it both shared a level 17 cell with another pokestop and was within 20m of an Ingress portal– would it populate into Pokemon Go if the existing pokestop was removed or moved out of the cell?

Thanks!

Yes.

Thank you:)

Hi! It’s been a while since my stop was confirmed, but it never popped up.

And the second one was recent but still passed a while since it was approved:

(34.1922216, -118.5959030)

Same level 17 s2 cell as “Eton Fountain”, which is a shame, since there’s 3 other cells you could have legitimately placed it in, but since you didn’t know the rules, now you get permanently punished.

(34.1906009, -118.5926844)

Same level 17 s2 cell as “Vert garden poppy sculptures”

This is to show you what NvlbNm was talking about. You seem to have chosen a random spot on the deck for the pin, but now it is abuse to try to move it unless there is clearly a reason that a new location would be better in real life.

A good article explaining the S2 cells is

@BarbieRokah It will be frustrating to read this bad news.
Do read the article about S2 cells.

The positive is that you have put together some good nominations. Now you need to go and find more eligible things to nominate but mow you have a greater knowledge about how the wayspots get selected.
You would probably find it useful to get an ingress account - any level is fine - and then download IITC which overlays the ingress information with the S2 grid so you can have a clearer view.
You should also ensure that on the nomination map in pokemon Go you toggle on the switch at the bottom to show Wayspots used in other games. Again this will give you a fuller picture of what is already nominated in the database.
Please do ask questions we will be happy to help.

Welcome! Minor comment as your issue has already been explained by everyone above but for your next nominations, I would suggest not referring to Pokémon trainers or who lives there in the supporting information field. Game terms are discouraged against as this might be distracting to reviewers, and the supporting information field would benefit you more if you made it about why the object itself is a good point of interest, which is not dependent on Trainers living nearby.

Good luck with the next ones, don’t be discouraged by these ones not appearing.

How can I fix it?

Hi
I’m sorry but this is not something that can be fixed.
I know that is frustrating to hear but that is the way it is.

Isn’t it wonderful? If you knew the rules earlier you could legitimately have another pokething, but because you only sought help after things went wrong, now Niantic will throw a tantrum if you try to make things better for players.
