I tried making a pokey stop on a mountain top and a lean too which isn’t dangerous but apparently it is but so why don’t you people stop putting pokey stops up on mountain tops where children can fall off and die
Are you able to share what you submitted and the reject reasons you got? I’ve seen plenty of cairns up mountains and submitted plenty of trig points that are high up too.
Hello and welcome @magnusfrauter
Not everyone needs to be able to get to every wayspot.
I’m tagging my fellow ambassador
@Trollfarer
As they are very familiar with mountain top submissions.
Hey,
We understand your disappointment about the locations of some Wayspots.
The locations you reference, as with the vast majority of Wayspots, were submitted by the public to be included in our games in order to share the local points of interest that define our communities. We believe that our communities are healthier when people explore the sites that make the world unique, all while coming into contact with their communities and with one another.
Based on our experience, these locations are good examples of a places the public can visit to discover more about and engage with their community.
If you’re not certain you have the right to access a location or are not certain it is safe to access, please do not make any attempts to do so. As a player or any other member of the community, you must respect access restrictions, never trespass, or in any manner gain or attempt to gain access to any property or location where you do not have the right or permission to be. Please review and follow the Guidelines at all times while playing our games to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone!
Cheers!
I thought the OP was upset because their nomination was rejected?
What does it take to get more pokestops
I have submitted several and only one was accepted
The only option we have for a picture is one sign. We don’t have buildings, landmarks We don’t have any of that. We live out in the country by a public lake and public river. Camping fishing swimming is allowed but only one sign. Maybe I should take a pic of the public bathrooms would that get us a stop! We have one gym one PokéStop we can’t hardly do anything out here. There are kids that live out here and kids that come camping with their families , if you can accept a PokéStop on the side of a mountain why can’t you accept more out in the country
Great question, and welcome to the forum @snowwolfe322
First off, a Wayspot must meet one of these criteria
- A great place for exploration
- A great place for exercise
- A great place to be social with others
Secondly, it must not meet any of the ineligibility restrictions.
You can read about all of that on the Wayfarer page in the Criteria section, and the Help section has a lot of useful information as well.
Unfortunately, a lot of places out “in the country” don’t have a lot of area that isn’t ineligible. There is a forum post that might be helpful to find things that are eligible here:
And you can always post nominations you want to discuss in Nomination Support
