Awesome!

Can my street signs be restored now?

It seems like they thought about this kind of request:

@NianticTintino Can you tell us how this affects the current rules for gym creation? Is it possible that some of these POI’s turn into gyms? Thanks in Advance.

I do still wish that the people responsible for building US residential neighbourhoods were required to actually include amenities for the people who live in them, but at least those people will now have something to interact with in game instead of being in a barren wasteland.

Scopely does not care about the quality of the locations on the gameboard, end of story.

See y’all later, I’m staying with Ingress and OPR :waving_hand:

I find it weird that’s not the case. On a new estate here there’s:

  • two play areas
  • A basketball court
  • A dog park (upcoming)
  • A notice board
  • and probably a few other things that would make POI

Because you just don’t remove the restrictions from the cells?

That would be down to the Pokémon GO team to change their inclusion rules, you’d have to raise that with them.

I mean, the “quality” of whatever is in the Pokestop photo doesn’t affect gameplay in the slightest.

Thanks for asking.

No, none of these new experimental PokéStops can become gyms but they can impact other Wayspots around them and those can become gyms.

Was there any consideration in highlighting these in some way to confirm they are not “wayfarer” waypoint such as using the Niantic Logo as the image?

Cordialement

If anyone could share screenshots of one of these stops I’d appreciate it

LOL there appears to have been no consideration for SFPRP on these. And the ones I see are tightly packed neighborhoods, not what I would consider rural areas. :woman_facepalming:

Totally my mistake assuming this meant Wayspot to land area density rather than Wayspot to player density. “Rural” was never said.

Hope all those homes that now have Pokestops in their front yards belong to people who play PoGo.

So happy to see so many players get home spots! /sarcasm

This is utterly ridiculous. All of these are on single family private residential property and should not exist. I applaud the team trying something to help areas lacking way spots. But this is NOT the way to go about it.

I could understand this measure if it were carried out by the PoGo team, but I don’t see why the Wayfarer team has to be the one implementing it.
Just like sponsored locations in PoGo, I believe the PoGo team should display these through their own dedicated database.
Having Wayfarer overstep its authority to handle these matters will only create unnecessary confusion.
