Hi, I know not all nominations will appear in one game. That’s all ok. But I live in a rural place. And it’s kind of hard to get decent nominations accepted as is. So when I see there’s one spot we go too and it has 17 accepted nominations that are all fairly close and only 4 got into pokemon go… it’s a bit frustrating since none of the 4 became a gym even. Any idea what to do next? And yes, I checked the cells. 2 in one, while the other ones are in separate cells. But one cell has 6 accepted but only 2 in game
Hello and welcome,
Did you check the L14 or L17 cells? PoGo uses S2 cells, with 1 stop per L17 S2 cell, and up to 3 gyms in the larger L14 cells, depending on how many L17 cells have a stop in that L14. More info on PoGo and S2 cells can be found here:

I myself have nominated in rural areas, and yes, not all of my approved Wayspots have made it into PoGo due to the S2 cell rules. Unfortunately, there aren’t any exceptions to the rules, even in rural areas, as they apply globally. Even in urban areas with places that may have multiple Waysoots in a single L17 cell, only 1 will be a stop in PoGo. Some unused Wayspots may be used as Power Spots, so do keep that in mind.
You might want to keep looking for POIs to nominated, to see if you can get more game play locations. You may also want to check out this thread that has some good tips about nominating in rural areas:
