Not adhering criteria? Seriously?

It is a shutter art and therefore valid. How come can wayfarer team reject both nomination and appeal?

Oohh It took me a minute to realise but there are 2 shutters and the door righr? And the art makes it look like a house? Its so clever I almost missed it  I wonder if thr appeal reviewers did too?

I do wonder why thry say its a normal mural, as if murals have to somehow be abnormal?

Can you share the whole nomination? Would like to see the full sized picture?

Yea. It looks interesting. Anyway people make mistake and sometimes they need to be spoonfed all information

I do wonder if the appeals team is also partly AI-based, I’ve seen a few rejections that don’t look like a human really reviewed them.

At a minimum the rejection text is boiler plate with a gap for the type of POI : “The object in question does not meet the Wayfarer criteria as it is a normal […], which has no significance.”. All the in-house reviewer has to do is click ‘not interesting’, provide a short label and the rejection is complete (or however the interface works for them).

I’m also amused by the idea of something being a “normal” mural.
