I’ve recently begun reviewing and submitting wayspots, and have mostly had no issues, except that I realize that I don’t receive emails associated with my submissions.
I’ve checked my spam many times, and I have no filters. I received only a notification for my first submission, and no emails since- no notifications of following submissions/acceptances, etc. Although I can see the results in Wayfarer, is there a way to investigate this?
Ok, staff may have to look into this then. In the meantime, make sure to add notices@wayfarer.nianticlabs.com to your address book and/or safe senders list to ensure you will receive emails in the future.
I don’t have any other email addresses (I log in with my Google account). Ironically, I am receiving alerts from replies to this thread, but only received the one as associated with submissions.
The forum runs off of Discourse, which is separate from Wayfarer. While you do use your Niantic ID to login, Discourse handles everything here.
There have been issues with Apple ID and Facebook in the past, and there are ways to correct them to start receiving emails again. I don’t remember if there is something similar with Google though, but it may be possible.
I looked into our system and can see that the emails are being sent to your registered email address. However, those emails are bouncing off and not getting delivered. Please reach out to your email service provider and check if their settings/configurations are restricting these email deliveries. Thanks,
And remember to also add notices@wayfarer.nianticlabs.com to your address book and/or safe senders list. Also make sure that your inbox isn’t full, as that could cause a bounce.
