I doubt that “lacks uniqueness or historical and cultural meaning” is generic business. I have it on some that were rejected under the old star review system, and that one asked that question. I have it on a submission for a pedestrian bridge that already had a Wayspot, and I didn’t know at the time that they can only have 1 Wayspot, not one for each entrance. See the date below:

I wonder if this could mean they are getting rid of “Generic business” again as a rejection reason.
And could we dare to hope that “Not distinct” is going to become “Does not meet criteria”?
In order for that to happen, they most likely would have to change the review process.
My point is that you should let us know exactly why the submission was rejected by the reviewer. I have noticed the same thing in past review flow results, but it should be separated from that.
Also, if a reviewer rejects a submission by selecting “Temporary/Seasonal or Not Distinctive” but only “Not Distinctive” is not communicated, the submitter will be upset and say, “I didn’t submit anything temporary. In fact, many submitters were angry that their submission was judged as a temporary one because it was difficult to understand the meaning of “Not Distinctive” in the previous indication.
In my personal opinion, when a reviewer selects “Temporary/Seasonal or Not Distinctive”, he should be given the choice between “temporary/seasonal” and “Not distinctive or generic". And it would be better to remove the “generic business” choice.

People will still ask, especially new Wayfinders. It’s also possible that some of these reasons change to align more with the current review flow, as there’s no question anymore that asks if something is unique/historical/cultural.
