I would like to know, would a fire hydrant, like the one I pictured below as an example image, (Not the actual hydrant) be acceptable as a poi? Fire hydrants are usually pretty permanent, and the painting on it makes it very distinct, so what are your opinions/suggestions?
If it’s an active fire hydrant, then no it would not be acceptable. From Niantic Wayfarer
Although it doesn’t specifically mention fire hydrants, a large crowd gathered at the hydrant for an event could interfere with fire department operations and therefore it would be considered ineligible.
If the hydrant is not longer in use then it might be acceptable, however you would need to prove that it was redundant with a link to a reliable source.
