Hi. I’m trying to update the info of a bar in Jaén, Sapin. The bar “Cafetería Restaurante La Zaga”, after some changes of owners now it’s named “Malavida Gran Bar Café” now. Recently, I submitted a new photo of the bar, which has been accepted, and I also submitted the name change of the Wayspot, and I’m waing for it to be accepted. The reason I’m opening this topic is because there are lots of old photos of the time where the bar was named “Cafeteria Restaurante La Zaga”, and as the name of the bar is no longer that name and anybody has updated the info of the Wayspot for years (photos which I want to remove are 9 years old), I want to remove the old photos so when the name change is accepted, the Wayspot info is fully updated and without old images. The images that I want to remove are the crossed with the red cross in this image:

Buenas! Según palabras de algunos miembros del Staff de Niantic, tratar de actualizar un negocio a otro diferente es considerado abuso. Te recomiendo que solicites la eliminación del bar “Cafetería Restaurante La Zaga” y solicites el nuevo negocio ya que, como has explicado, ha cambiado de dueños y es un negocio completamente diferente, por mucho que siga siendo un bar o restaurante.

Entonces, solicitar la eliminación del Wayspot actual y la creación de otro sería lo más correcto? La petición de cambio de nombre está en votación. Supongo que si se acepta la eliminación del negocio y la creación de otro esto no afectaría en nada para la eliminación del actual.

No, seguramente se acabaría rechazando la edición de título. Lo recomendable es lo que te he comentado, eliminar el wayspot actual y solicitar el nuevo (si es que cumple criterios), ya que tratar de actualizarlo parece ser que se considera abuso.

Or, y’know, don’t bother removing it since there’s a materially similar and equally eligible business of the same type there now, since removing and replacing has negative impacts that don’t occur when correcting the current information to be properly up-to-date.

All Niantic’s policy here really does is discourage improvements.

If someone else happens to get it removed in the future, then submit the currently eligible business.

Buenas! Al final lo estoy haciendo así. Me han aceptado la solicitud de eliminación del Wayspot del negocio antiguo y ayer pedí la del nuevo. Si la aceptan, caso cerrado :slight_smile:
