Picnic style tables in town centres

This is a stab in the dark question… if there are picnic style benches / tables in town areas, whilst they don’t equate to the same thing as a picnic bench in parks, etc. Do they qualify? The picnic style benches are primarily used for eating food where places don’t have their own seating areas or where people don’t want to eat inside the shop.

We’d have to see them. There’s no blanket statement on eligibility for stuff like this.

Fair point. If I get the chance to go and take photos of them over the next couple of days, I’ll post them here.

If you can demonstrate that they are permanent and a designated distinct public rest/eating area, they could be eligible, as @seaprincesshnb says, there is so much variability with these things, we’d have to see the specifics to provide more informed advice.

That’s a fair point.

Same rules inside & outside. Inside the waypoint needs space for a small group. If the picnic area can be seen for all as picnic area, it is acceptable.

On the surface, it looks like a picnic area.

Hi. Can you point me to the rule about a waypoint needing space for a small group?

Isn’t a group considered to be 1 or more people?

Here you are.
