I don’t see pinned threads at the top of the forum. How do I see those?
They are initially pinned, but you can unpin them if they get in your way, which you might have done!
I’ve unpinned them, so I cannot find them, but for new people on the forums, there is definitely a “why hasn’t my pokestop appeared” thread on the top 3.
I haven’t unpinned anything to my knowledge. I can find some pinned things buried in a category, but I don’t see anything at the top.
This doesn’t look anything like what i see.
I would love to be able to find pins to point people to.
I have no clue, even in my web browser, logged in or not, the pins are still there. Maybe click on latest?
There is a thread in General Discussion which would work, similar to the one @RGTGO is finding. This is from a desktop view

You can search for pinned threads by adding the in:pinned filter in the search query. I hope this helps!
Thanks but I am hopeless. If I have to search to see if anything is pinned, then it isn’t helpful. I appreciate that you tried.

That’s a fairly non-intuitive way of seeing pinned posts (which in other media, do what they say - they are pinned at the top). I’m likely to forget that method in about 2 minutes…
Hi I am going to split the discussion about pinned posts into a separate topic.
It is useful and it will make it easier to find. We can then get back to the original discussion.
I see why you did this, but I don’t think separating this conversation from the direction to look at the second pinned post helps the OP of the original conversation if they are like me and don’t see the second pinned post if you would like to address that there.
Just a quick note: if you had Automatically unpin topics when I reach the bottom enabled in Preferences > Interface, it should have unpinned these topics automatically for you.
That said, we appreciate your feedback and I’ll be sure to share it with the team.
I also don’t see pinned topics at the top (unless I’ve not read the topic, in which case they appear as unread topics above the regular topics in the category). I’m guessing it’s from the sorting options we are using for the forum. I have the forum set to “categories”.
Reddit used to do this as well. For the longest time you couldn’t see pinned topics if you had “sort by new” as your setting. It’s only within the past year or so that they actually gave pinned topics their own separate section.
Edit: never mind, @NianticAtlas solved it and I’ve changed that setting too! Thank you!

i repinned this one and it still isn’t at the top. at least the pin is the right way round now
aha! have to click latest
Update: I’ve gone ahead and disabled this option in the default site settings for now. We’ll reconsider and revert it if more users prefer the original setting.
