So I have nominated a Parish on my travels, and from my point of view it should have been eligible since it meets the criteria. But was not accepted within 2 days. I would like to apeall the nomination but would like some comments on it since apparently my judgment isnt on point.
For those that are more knowledgeable please take a hit at this.
It was rejected by the AI system. I checked Google Maps and it does appear to exist. I don’t know if the building is eligible or not, and it may be worth appealing.
Yep, that’s an automated ML rejection. I sympathize with the frustration, it looks like it could be unwarranted. I have not reviewed the accuracy of the pin or the accuracy of the information but would suggest working on the photos to maybe present the building in its entirety or to take a picture framing the sign more evenly and cropping the unnecessary wall.
Also I would suggest including evidence that this is a community space and that it can be rented, right now with that you include it could be mistaken for eg. the clergyman’s house. If you have that available then it could be worth an appeal including the link as evidence.
Its hard to prove all that with just 1 additional picture. I may just make a new nomination since just making an appeal works almost too rarely. I have more nominations that were just dont cut it and it should get trough it, like wooden welcome signs to a town, WITH A SIDEWALK.
Oh if you are able to take a new one, make sure your new photo is more centered on the sign to make it clear what you are submitting. Something like this
If this is regarding the suggestion on using supporting evidence, I am not talking about using pictures for this purpose, I am talking about including links that would support what you are saying in your supporting information field. This is pretty standard practice.
