Der Ablehnungsgrund ist in der E-Mail zu finden, die du erhalten hast.

You do not need to tag multiple staff members and it is better not to. I recommend editing your post to remove these.

Staff read every post but do not necessarily respond.

No it can’t - that used to be the case but not anymore.

To see the rejection reasons, you have to go to your wayfarer contributions page at Niantic Wayfarer and click on the submission.

In order to be accepted, a wayspot has to not fail any of the rejection criteria

- it has to be safely accessible to pedestrians
- it can’t be on school grounds, single-family private residential property, farmland
- it has to exist at the location given
- it has to have a reasonably accurate title and description
- the photo cannot contain licence plates, identifiable people, unnecessary animals
- it cannot represent something that already has a wayspot
- the photo must be one that you took and have not posted elsewhere
- it has to be reasonably distinct, not just a random location

It also has to meet one of the key criteria

- Exploration
- Exercise
- Social

It is hard for community members to determine why a wayspot was rejected just from a picture, if it looks like something eligible. There could be a location error, photo error, description error, duplication or something else that means the rejection was correct.

Something can meet the key criteria but be rejected because it fails one of the rejection tests.

I checked all three coordinates. I can’t verify any of your nominations using streetview, so maybe all three were rejected for inaccurate location.

1 Titel:Historisches Fassadenrelief - Radeberger Brauerei

2 Titel: Fassadenkunst, Naturmosaik’ in Radeberg

3 Titel: Selbstbedienungslädchen Radeberg

Ort: 51,1148697, 13,9249724

Hinweiß zum Selbstbedienungslädchen Radeberg der wurde erst 2025 neu aufgebaut!

Not remotely interesting; I would reject almost instantly under not permanent/distinct.

No streetview available; not possible to confirm.

Streetview is from 2023 so not visible. What is this self-service shop?

1. Historical facade relief – Radeberger Brewery

The relief is a permanent architectural feature integrated into the historic brewery building. It is a distinct piece of facade art and represents the history and identity of the Radeberger Brewery. It is therefore both permanent and visually unique.

2. Facade art, natural mosaic

The lack of Street View is not evidence that the object does not exist. The nomination includes current photos showing a permanent mosaic artwork attached to the building. Please evaluate based on the provided evidence rather than Street View alone.

3. Self-service shop Radeberg

This is not a generic shop nomination. The Wayspot is the self-service farm shop (or Hofladen, falls zutreffend) as a local community point of interest. The nomination refers to the permanent location and not to a temporary installation. If needed, I can provide additional supporting photos.

I am not the person evaluating your submissions, but attempting to provide explanations for the rejections. It is up to you to prove things to the reviewers by including the necessary information in your submission.

Regarding the façade relief, a look at that building compared to the ones on the other side of the street makes it look like something I wouldn’t even look at even if I knew it was there.

Being permanent and visually unique is not sufficient - this has be interesting enough that people would be excited to find it or be shown it and to use it to learn about the history of the building, because Exploration is the only possible way this meets criteria.

The street name sign at the end of my road is permanent and visually unique!

Since the brewery is already a wayspot, I don’t think this element is very special

Thanks @salixsorbus and @wooperlooper for the feedback! I’d like to add a bit more context regarding both submissions:

1. ‘Facade art, natural mosaic’ in Radeberg:

You are right that “mosaic” was a misleading choice of word — it is indeed a painted mural covering the entire side of a multi-family residential building. Painted murals on apartment buildings are valid Wayspot candidates under the Exploration criteria as public art. The rejection reason “photo is tilted/incorrect” was due to the camera angle, but the mural itself is a permanent and unique piece of neighborhood art. I hope Niantic/the team re-evaluates the mural itself rather than just the photo angle.

2. Self-service cabinet (Selbstbedienungslädchen):

This is not a generic commercial vending cabinet. It is a shared, micro-retail showcase used by various small local shops and artisans from Radeberg and the surrounding area to present their handcrafted goods and regional products. It serves as a collective community hub for small local businesses, supporting the local economy and offering a unique local flavor to discover while exploring the neighborhood.

(Also, please excuse the unfortunate auto-correct mistake at the very end of my supporting text in the screenshot).

Thank you for taking another look at these aspects!

Doesn’t matter what you call it, it’s a duplicate of the brewery wayspot

@wooperlooper I think there is a mix-up here!

Regarding the Mural: It is located at Waldstraße 19 on a residential building — it is completely unrelated to the Radeberger Brewery (which is at a different location), so it cannot be a duplicate.

Regarding the Self-Service Cabinet: What is your perspective on my explanation about it being a collective showcase for various local artisans and shops in Radeberg?

That’s literally the same building

Do you have a link confirming that?

"Unfortunately, I don’t have a direct website link as this local self-service cabinet is managed locally. However, it functions as a community-driven showcase for handmade local crafts and souvenirs in Radeberg. It is located in a publicly accessible area and serves as an interesting local point of interest for the neighborhood."
