I recently made a route to a Pokéstop that disappeared from the map, then I discovered it was moved, which led to its disappearance from the map. I am so disappointed that it happened. How can I convince Niantic to move it? Or at least to know where to contact them?
Then I saw that the mentioned Pokéstop appear on the map again (for a few days unfortunately), and then it disappeared again, so I am desperate.
Plus, I still get gifts (one or two at least) from that PokéStop from my Buddy Pokémon, even though it is not visible on the map.
If you share the location we can see if its gone because s2 inclusion rule or not.but its a bit weird if u said thats it disappeared, reappear and gone again.
It seems as though the Wayspot for the stop was moved, and it may be in an already occupied L17 S2 cell; only 1 stop/gym is allowed in each L17 S2 cell, which is what is used to determine density and inclusion for PoGo. More info can be found here:
Feel free to provide the title and location of the stop in question, and someone will be glad to check the cells in the area. Being there is another stop nearby, I do suspect that a location edit may have moved it into that occupied cell, which caused it to disappear.
It is in the same cell as the wayspot “Pamätník Česť a sláva padlým v boji proti faš..” so it wont appear in Pokemon Go due to the inclusion rules. There can only be 1 pokestop/gym per cell. From satellite it appears to be correctly pinned on the object it represents. So unfortunately if thats true there is nothing you can do to get this to appear in game. If the new location is actually incorrect you could submit a location edit. Just know: location edits purly to get an item in game by moving it into a free cell are considered abuse and you can receive action from a suspension to a permanent ban on all your game accounts for doing so. So make sure when you are selecting the location for a submission or location move that you are being as accurate as possible and are focused on making sure the location pin is accurately on the object vs having it appear in game. I know this probably isnt the news you wanted to hear but hopefully it clears up the situation.
Picture of current cells:
That can happen sometimes. I had a Wayspot that didn’t meet inclusion rules pop up for about a week after it was approved, then it was removed. It most likely was a sync error that was eventually fixed, I figured. Seems to be the case here, too.
Just had this issue, a pokestop I nominated got passed, and 2 pokestops that were there disappeared and a route that was connected to it is gone now as well.
Can you share what the Wayspot is? Also, Routes are nothing to do with Wayfarer but that is the expected behaviour:
What happens if my start or end point is removed?
If changes are made to your start or end point via Niantic Wayfarer edits, your Route will automatically adjust to reflect these changes.
If a start or end point is removed from the Map, your Route will also be archived and any Trainers currently following that Route will lose their progress. Your earned Route Badge will remain, but you won’t be able to replay the same Route. If you try to start it again from your Route Badge, it will result in an error and you won’t be able to proceed.
You can only have one pokestop in the game per level 17cell
There are 2 cells here with 2 Wayspots in the top right billion oyster project is the pokestop whilst the teen annex is not in game.
Bottom left has coffee king as the pokestop and the libray is not in game.
Bottom right simply has Brooklyn uprising as a pokestop.
I’m conscious that the map data might not be up to date but that is what is there and sounds like what you have seen.
