Hello,
I would like to report an issue with one of my approved Wayfarer contributions.
A Wayspot that was previously approved and appeared in Pokémon GO has unexpectedly disappeared. It has also disappeared from the Wayfarer map, even though it is still listed in my Contributions as Approved.
The Wayspot is a permanent public mosaic located in Jardim Botânico, Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, Brazil. The approximate coordinates are -21.212990, -47.795375.
The object still exists, has not been removed or modified, has safe pedestrian access, and continues to meet the Wayfarer eligibility criteria.
Since the Wayspot is still shown as Approved in my Contributions but no longer appears in either Pokémon GO or the Wayfarer map, I believe this may be an error.
Could you please investigate why it no longer appears? If this was a mistake, I would appreciate having the Wayspot restored.
Are you sure you got the coordinates right? When I put them into Google Maps, I can’t see a mosaic at this location on street view. All I can see is a grass verge at what looks to be a fairly busy road junction. If you still have the email from when you initially submitted this nomination, the exact coordinates should be listed below the pictures in that email.
When a nomination is removed, it doesn’t update the status in your contributions tab. If you feel it’s been removed in error, you can appeal the removal on the forum (your post could be moved to Wayspot Appeals as that’s the right place for such requests), but given that I can’t actually see anything resembling a mosaic at the coordinates you provided, you might need to provide additional evidence both that the wayspot exists, and that it’s safe to access.
