Additional Information (if any): Hey team, I would repost in game but am away from this location atm. This is the second time this has been rejected? I dont understand why, i add detail and its self explantory a local store that supplies the small town.
Looking at this on Google Maps, it’s listed as a takeout restaurant. It also seems to be mainly a grocery store, which are pretty generic businesses, and I’m not finding any photos of the inside, so I don’t know if there is even a place where one could be social while eating.
Are you able to provide screenshots of the nomination from your Contribution Management? That’ may help to see if this may be eligible, and how it could be improved upon.
You shouldn’t have mentioned PoGo in your appeal, as that doesn’t matter. What was your description, as nothing about your nomination says this is more than a generic business.
And just because a generic business like a grocery store is popular and busy doesn’t prove it meets criteria. Almost all towns and cities have grocery stores, and the main purpose for them is to shop for groceries and other necessities, not to socialize/exerse/explore.
It’s a hard sell. If they have an area inside that you can eat at, that may be eligible as a place to be social. Otherwise, grocery stores are just hard to get approved, even small ones that aren’t part of any chain.
One thing that may be better to nominate here is the NZ Post. If they provide postal services here, that may be a better POI, as post offices are eligible.
I also see a picnic table outside of the store on Street View, and picnic areas are also great places to be social. If the table is still there, you may want to consider nominating that.
