I submitted a pokestop, which apparently exists in other Niantic games, but absolutely does not exist as a PokéStop. I got a rejection stating that it already exists.
My appeal explained this, but was rejected again. Kinda weird! Not really understanding what’s going on here.
You were not submitting a Pokestop. You were submitting a Wayspot (some of which appear in Pokemon Go). But the Wayspot you submitted already exists.
This is working as intended. Not all Wayspots are Pokestops as they follow various inclusion rules to maintain the game designers’ intended density of Pokestops.
The phrasing “used in other Niantic games” is poor, if you are talking about the wayspots you see as exclamation points on the nomination map screen in Pokemon Go. It should say “Wayspot not used as a Pokestop or gym”.
The email tells you “Remember that not all accepted nominations will appear in all Niantic games”. This topic should help explain which are used:
If you would like a visual of your situation after reading that, you can leave the gps coordinates and someone should be able to show you.
