PokeStop Problem

Hello, the Pokestop that says “accepted” in Niantic Go hasn’t been reflected in the game for a week (accepted in 27oct). My other problem is that another Pokestop I applied to on October 16th is still showing as a vote. Could someone please help?

Why an accepted Wayspot may not be used in Pokemon Go (S2 cells and Pokemon Go)

I have this written up for when I see a wheresmypokestop question. I know the prompt tells you that you are submitting a “Pokestop” but you are actually submitting a Wayspot to the database. The Wayspot can only become a Pokestop or gym if it is alone in a level 17 S2 cell. The S2 cell use has not been officially confirmed as far as I am aware, but staff has acknowledged there is an additional step after acceptance. So while it was accepted via Wayfarer, Pokemon GO has an algorithm to pick and choose their game objects from different sources including the wayspots.

With regards to the one that has still to be resolved, it can take awhile, it does not necessarily mean that anything is wrong.

With the accepted one it is likely that it hasn’t met the section rules for Pokémon Go.
Although it can look simple that you nominate a pokestop in the game, the reality is that you are submitting something that may become a pokestop.
Once your wayspot is approved it goes into a database of approved places. An algorithm that the Pokémon Go team have decided upon, then selects those to go into the game.
That selection is based on some mapping software S2 Cells.

I appreciate that this is probably all very frustrating.

If you can provide the co ordinates of the wayspot we can try to establish if this has happened but currently some of our information is out of date.

Thanks for the clarification! It makes sense now.
The Wayspot was accepted but doesn’t appear in Pokémon GO due to S2 cell rules.
I’ll check empty cells and resubmit in a new location if needed. Appreciate the help!

It is already in the database and would be considered a duplicate.

Under Wayfarer we are to pin the location as it exists on the real location. Legitimate edits are for correcting the pin towards the real location, not to satisfy specific game’s inclusion rules. The latter can be considered as an abusive edit.

PGO’s inclusion rules were not meant to factor into the nomination process despite the app’s instructions of making a pokestop.
