The pokestop I nominated and was approved was not showing after almost a month. I tried to nominate again and found out it was used in other wayspot niantic games. I primarily nominated it for a pokestop. Would it eventually show up as pokestop in pokemon go?

Each game chooses which wayspots are used and how according to their developer’s designs.

It will be stated in the excellent link posted above but just to confirm.
Being used in other Niantic Games does not stop it being used in Pokemon Go.
Due to each game having it’s own Proximity Rules each “Waypoint” (which is what you are actually nominating even though it states “Pokestop” when nominating through Pokemon Go) can be used in all games, some games or no games.
This is a badly worded statement which does confuse many people. It should just state “Will not currently be used as a Pokestop or Gym in Pokemon Go”.
You have already done the hard part getting the nomination accepted, unfortunately for what you was hoping for it fell at the last hurdle. All you need to do is repeat the process with another point of interest
