There should be a new gym in Matt Community Park today. The yellow numbers show the cells that were occupied before the weekend - a total of 5 cells. The yellow Xs show things that I submitted and got approved before cut off for sync today. (Oh, sync may not happen on Mondays, I forgot…so maybe a new gym tomorrow.)
The orange number shows the only currently occupied cell in the other L14 cell. Those two large soccer fields were full of people over the weekend so I could not submit them. The orange Xs are tiny, but if you look at where I have marked them, you can get another gym in the right cell.
I also submitted several things in another park not too far away but I will wait until those are approved before advertizing them so I don’t sway any votes.
Update to the update: I believe Campfire is showing that Miracle Playground is a gym. I don’t have that on my gym badge list so it would be the one that flipped.
Hey, sorry to open this back up again, but earlier today I was by this nomination and noticed it was gone again. Is this permanent now, or? Just curious, don’t want to start a whole thing again.
Any interest in getting truly eligible things approved just around the corner as i outlined above?
I’ve also gotten a ton of things approved in Rock Creek Sports Park 15 minutes away

Following this thread getting so much attention and this sign being reinstated 2 or 3 times, it seems to me that these signs are being encouraged as PoIs.
Because of this, I submitted one in my area. It was not rejected by the ML, but the community rejected it as third party image, and private property. Both were false rejection reasons, so I appealed.
The appeal rejection was as per the screenshot above - that neighbourhood signs do not meet criteria. So I would really like to know - do they meet criteria? Or not? Should we submit them? Or not?
Mine should not be rejected in this way if criteria is not an issue. If criteria is an issue, can we get a clarification into the criteria clarification section as to what makes a good neighbourhood sign and what makes an ineligible one?
Please explain this to the rest of us. Please explain why this neighborhood sign was removed by those teams after reports at least twice, then reinstated after posting here. Please explain why the appeals team rejected @frealafgb 's sign.
If you tell me that these are great Wayspots, I can go out and submit tons of them.

This is a wild thread. On one hand I appreciate the enthusiasm and on the other, there seems to be a lot of pettiness.
The term Generic Neighborhood Sign is VERY interesting and leave a lot of room for interpretation. For me, this is NOT generic. The designer, the brick layers, the developer and the metal workers the all had a part would say this one is not generic. This not a printed sign on a metal pole.
I love Wayfarer because everyone gets to submit with they find worthy and the community votes. It is not a binary yes/no decision. It takes thought and local preference. The loud voices here prefer YES/NO then eMiLee can handle it all. There would be no need for the community and all this back and forth would just be hooey and applesauce.
You seem to be ignoring the PRP rules and facts provided.
How is wanting to understand a decision pettiness?
This is exactly why we keep asking why this is a yes.
I am not ignoring PRP. The vast majority of neighborhood signs are on community property not someone’s private residence. The coordinates provided are also not on PRP.
There are two sides to the yes/no. I would be great to know those details. In this case, the community voted for approval of the POI. Then it was submitted for removal & removed (no reason why). Then it was reinstated (no reason why).

i do take exception to this phrasing though. i would call us the reviewing based on criteria squad.
As someone who works directly with land surveyors and the GIS system, the satellite maps are not 100%. Also, to homeowner is not responsible for the upkeep of the signs built by the developer.
That does not make it easy for reviewers, tho I am not sure how many would to to the county GIS map to verify. This is a great effort you made.
i am not the one who found that map. i don’t think they meet criteria, and would not have gone that far.
