I’m just wondering, what’s the point of this system if almost everything that gets approved never gets added to the game?
I’m living on a resort and trying to build the Pokemon community for the trainers we have and was pretty excited to see some of my requests get approved only to find out it doesn’t even matter because they wont be added to the game.
Hello and it is a heartbreak to see a lot of nomination never get into Pokemon Go.
You might want to read this to understand why your Wayspot might not turned into Pokestop in GO.

It is confusing that “Pokestop Nominations” are not ingested once accepted. The reason would be that it is ingested in a database which each game has algorithms to determine how each wayspot is utilized. The app developers decide how these inclusion rules are established.
There goes the balance between submitting within the Wayfarer guidelines and learning the inclusion rules of the preferred game if your target is to enhance only your game of choice.

It does sound like you are potentially giving those communities additional Power Spot options, so I wouldn’t necessarily call that “never gets added to the game”.

To elaborate on what @Xenopus states…
Your nominations may…
- become a Powerspot (Dynamax / Gigantamax) depending on its proximity to other waypoints.
- replace the existing waypoint if that is removed for legitimate reasons. ***
- be used in other Scopely games.
***Do Not attempt to get a legitimate wayspot removed just to get yours on to the map. This is seen as Abuse and can lead to suspension / bans of all accounts (Wayfarer, Pokemon Go and any other Scopely games).
