Pokestops went missing, Waypoints still active in other games

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: Streetart Blumenmeer
  • Location (lat/lon): 52.295725, 13.427553
  • City: Rangsdorf
  • Country: Germany
  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information): No Email Received
  • Additional Information (if any): There were 4 Pokestops in this street. Now they don’t appear in Pokemon Go anymore, however I still see them in Ingress. This means they were not completely removed but don’t appear in Pokemon Go anymore. Why is that? Why are they still in other games but not Pokemon GO? We really need those Pokestops.

Ingress and Pokémon GO’s maps are separate now.

Ingress and Recon are owned by Niantic Spatial.
Pokémon GO and Wayfarer are owned by Scopely.

So a removal in Ingress doesn’t mean it’s removed in Pokémon GO and vice versa now.

I had a look at the locations on Ingress. The four painted electric boxes seem highly unlikely to be there. This may be why they were removed, and may require evidence that they actually exist to be restored.

These Wayspots were removed because they do not exist at the locations they were submitted at.

Thanks for this.

As this is the case, I also raised with the Ingress team and included a link to your comment:

Thank you for taking the time to write into us. We appreciate your patience as we reviewed the location in question and have gone ahead and removed the referenced in-game locations. You should see these changes reflected soon
