Hi all, I have just had a nomination rejected and before I add any screenshots, I just want to check if a standard postbox in UK would get accepted if it is known locally as one having seasonal knitted toppers? So we have people in the community who knit various scenes depicting holidays (Christmas, Halloween, Easter etc) and put them up on this one postbox and I thought that might be a nice place for a pokestop nomination as locally many people come to see the creations and take photos. Is that likely to be accepted?
Hello and Welcome,
It would likely be rejected as āNot Permanentā
Also note that not all UK postboxes should be accepted, only pre āERIIā should be Accepted.
Welcome to the community.
If the Postbox is being submitted for the knitted toppers, then it should be rejected. If itās being submitted because itās a Postbox, then as long as itās not CR3 or ER2 / E2R postboxes, you should review it based on whether it meets the criteria. CR3 and ER2 / E2R postboxes, generally speaking, are rejectable. (Terms and Conditions apply).
Thank you for clarifying.
If the knitted topppers are on there all the time, is that still classed as ānot permanentāā?
There are changed regularly as you state so the topper you nominate will not be permanent.
Sorry, I meant that they are changed regularly but there is always a topper on the postbox. Does the topper itself have to stay the same for it to be classed as permanent?
Unfortunately these knit toppers made by the community are not eligible as they are not permanent. As you say they are swapped out seasonally and for holidays. Even worse they could easily be stolen. Or the crafty knitters may get tired of doing this. Thatās why we cautioned you about these falling in to the āNot Permanent or Distinctā rejection.
Thank you for clarifying. Iām new to all this so wanted to make sure ![]()
