Rejected VR Postbox in Dublin

Can anyone help with this submission? It states Rejection Criteria, and Wayfarer criteria. I’ve resubmitted several times and it gets denied quickly.

Welcome to the forum @Anthrealx

The speed and rejection reason “Wayfarer criteria” indicates that this is being rejected by the ML (machine learning ai) model. The email will say “our team” so the nomination is never getting to the community.

Some of the UK folks will have to help you with which postboxes get accepted and how to submit them, but we have plenty on the forum!

Here is a topic about them if this helps:

Hey, and thanks, I’ve had a look and I’m fairly sure this one meets the criteria as it was erected during the 1800’s.

Is it possible to edit the topic name to include “UK Postbox”? (I don’t know if editing is possible.) I want to make sure that people who have had experience with these reply. I think people have said they don’t do well on appeal, but I am sure some have been able to get them past the ML into community voting, and even some ML accepts.

Are you using the same photo every time? A new photo with a little more context in a less tall and wide ratio might help.

[Edit: apologies for my “UK” mistake, but your version of the topic edit seems to have done the trick of getting the folks familiar with this style of box to comment. Best of luck with this if you resubmit.]

Well, this is in Ireland, as the postbox is green, and not in the UK. Yeah I’ve been using the same photo.

It looks like the wall box made by WT Allen who manufactured them from 1881 - 1965.

Victoria was 1837 - 1901

Yeah sadly @Anthrealx the days of being able to submit these are done

The ML rejects them and appeal reviewers also reject them

The UK reviewers would happily accept them but theres no way to get them to look at the review

Happily? Speak for yourself :stuck_out_tongue:

Would love a review as uncontentious as a V postbox

I accidentally pressed review instead of contributions earlier and had to do three all of which were trail markers.

The latest addition to that thread says Emily liked them

Oh interesting
I thought she auto rejected them
Maybe that’s an update more recently? Thats good anyway albeit she clearly didnt want this one :crying_cat_face: maybe the green colour threw things off

It has the initials of Queen Victoria I believe which is on either side of the crown.

It is from her reign  I was just dating it a bit more precisely as it looks more like post 1881

Other green postboxes have been accepted though.

Possibly before Emily and any submitted now get caught in the filter?

Possibly, I’m not sure how to get it past the filter, any ideas?

Im not saying it shouldnt be accepted, just that when the ML takes offense to something and you cant get it in front of UK reviewers it’s pretty hard, since the appeals team also tend to dislike postboxes

I’m not sure, sorry. I’ve seen some people say submit a close up of the cypher or name it a certain way and some rejected while some that were almost identical and from the same era accepted.
