Rejection reason: wayfarer criteria
Discription: Potters tree farm is open year round and specializes in agriculture.
Reason:The Potter’s treefarm is unique and gathers communities from all around to come and check out the farm. Is a great place to get some excerise walking the farm also a great place to socialize with the surronding community.
Coordinates: 41.01755° N, 86.07153° W
I don’t understand why this was not acceptable it’s not seasonal and there’s plenty of open space i would know my last name is potter lol.
Can we see more of the nomination please? Helps to see the title, description, main image and support image with supporting text too? You can crop out the location if you dont want to share that
“Wayfarer criteria” indicates that this was an ML (machine learning ai) rejection. Those emails will say “our team” instead of the community. We think that ML decisions are strongly based on the main photo, so we may be able to help more if you show the entire photo.
Be aware that a family farm is ineligible per SFPRP rules, so this may not be something you can get accepted, even if you can get it past ML
Probably depends how the farm is set up and exactly whats being submitted- I’m assuming this submission is for the business side of the farm where customers would be expected to go ie not a private farmhouse. In the UK at least there is scope to submit items on a farm that do meet critieria ie farm shop, public footpaths
Either way, definitely need to see more information before we know if this could be an acceptable nomination or not and it could indeed be that this is just a farmhouse which would not be eligible like you say
The clarification just says “farms” so I did not want to get their hopes up for “fixing” the nomination.
Single-family private residential properties (SFPRP), farms, and K-12 (schools or facilities primarily focused for persons under 18 years of age) are ineligible. This includes the outer facing facade, fence of these locations, and property boundaries.
Yeah from the partial info it doesn’t look eligible, but would like to know more just in case there’s something that can work
So the farm does not have a website to verify if you have any types of events or other activities during the year, but from the Christmas tree farm member listing and Google maps, it’s clear that this is a Christmas tree farm. So while it’s a business, it seems it’s also a private family farm that’s only open as a business part of the year.
Access to the farm would typically be limited to seasonal Christmas tree shopping. If there’s more that goes on at the farm, you’re gonna need some sort of proof.
