Hello, good afternoon. I’m relatively new to Niantic Wayfarer. I’ve already created several wayspots in my town, but I just had a problem with one I created last week. It turns out that at the time, the wayspot (which is a sign) was being subtly obscured by a plant. For reasons of preserving the beauty of the place, I clearly didn’t dare remove it, so I continued creating the wayspot like that. Recently, the grass level in the area was cleaned, and they removed that plant, which was slightly obstructing the sign, allowing it to be seen much better. I decided to add a new photo from Pokémon Go when I approached the location. It was accepted, but it hasn’t been displayed in the game or within the PokéStop in its “gallery.”
Could you clarify if there’s an error or something possibly happening? Is there a criterion after being accepted for not displaying a new wayspot photo?

slide over to it if you don’t see it in the corner. i don’t have an example in front of me i can share, but the new photo will be on the pokestop as soon as it is accepted. you may have to tap on the main photo then swipe to see the new one. i just did that yesterday but did not take screenshots.
unless you are level 37? you may not be able to see the photos until level 38 still…
no they appear immediately. got an auto response accept while i was standing there and swiped over to my new photo to thumb it. the other photo has two thumbs, so i will need to get a couple more on mine before it will be the disc photo.
oof, i thought they had fixed this. i wonder if you should make a report in Bug Reports & Technical Support that you are not able to view the photos you added
I don’t know if it’s a bug or not. I kinda figured it’s like how Ingress used to have different parts of the wayfarer process unlock at different levels. Though if it is an intentional choice, it’s certainly odd that they made it so that you can submit a new photo, but then be unable to view and vote on it until you level up.
that has to be a level thing. i have a memory of niantic being surprised when we told them about this during the global edits channel, but i am having trouble locating it.
i would go to Bug Reports & Technical Support and explain that you cannot see the photo you have added to the pokestop because you are level 37, and share this screenshot. i am still looking for the statement that was made that had me thinking they were addressing this, so i may have misunderstood. but it is definitely not right that you can add a photo but not thumb it.
at least you will know if it is “not a bug” and they mean for you to have to be a higher level to like your photo. meanwhile, you can ask higher level friends to thumb your new photo if they can see it. and they can even do that from a gift you send them.
