So I’ve tried adding a pokestop by a postbox in the UK that continuesly has been denied. It follows all the rules and is very similar to 100+ other stops around the UK. How come my one not get accepted?
Basically not all postbox is considered eligible.
You shouldnt submit using existing wayspot as basis. For postbox in particular, only the old one before Queen Elizabeth or historical is considered eligible.
You can read more below.
The other main reason a postbox will get rejected is the location. Some older postboxes are embedded in the wall of houses, meaning they are not eligible due to the rules around single-family private residential property. These sometimes get accepted, but will be removed if reported.
Postboxes don’t follow all the rules. They don’t meet any of the acceptance criteria, they are not a great place to explore, be social or exercise.
Instead they are just street infrastructure.
In the UK however reviewers have convinced themselves that the older ones (pre Elizabeth), should be eligible as they are less common. I disagree with this assessment, as even the older ones are still very common (hundreds if not thousands), but if you want to get them in the game, you should look for the older ones, and explain in the text why this one is special enough. We have seen many examples in this forum where people managed to get them in the game after trying several times. So it can be done.
