Quite a bizarre scenario! Can something be done?

I have a Pokemon stuck in a gym that has disappeared (Trio of Hexagons - co ordinates: 55.061928, -1.593624)

This was a pokestop I submitted, along with enough other pokestops in the S14 cell it became the 2nd gym in the area. But for some reason after a while it moved into an already occupied S17 cell (with the 1st gym) Then a few days later it disappeared. As i know 2 POI’s cannot occupy the same cell, so i would of thought that the pokemon would just be returned and it would stay dormant like many submission’s are, but no it hasn’t. My pokemon has been stuck for 208 days now. Very frustrating.

I’ve tried dozens of times to submit a bug report through the in game support but I never hear anything back and nothing happens.

I have since created more pokestops that would create another 2nd gym too. But it wont create a 2nd gym. Im guessing because the game thinks there is still a 2nd gym but its just hidden. The POI mentioned can still be seen in the game ingress prime. So it is impeding a potential 2nd gym in the area.

As the POI has disappeared from pokemon go you cannot request removal. I’ve tried requesting removal from ingress prime multiple times but the removal request just gets rejected.

The POI needs removed so i can get my pokemon returned and another gym can form.

Has anybody heard of something like this before? Or where i can get some technical support so it can be looked into?

There have been reports of Wayspots in a fluctuating state that appear and disappear in Pokemon Go. They may have to do something to make it stable.

No, I don’t. If staff doesn’t respond within a few days, I would tag one of them. But they usually do a great job responding to topics in this category.

Ah i didn’t realise you had referenced another post, i’m still getting used to this forum. Thanks though. I guess i’ll wait and see if i get a reply.

Yes and I appreciate that, but I noticed more recent posts were getting responses and mine had not so I thought it may have been missed. My comment was more of a polite bump. I’m a patient guy I’ve waited 209 days thinking something may happen, another couple of days wont hurt :grimacing:

I should have more specifically said to give them a week or so to get to it instead of “a few days” - I wasn’t thinking about the weekend.

Your Pokémon should have returned back to you.

It was moved by the community after a vote.

Our gameboard is fluid and subject to change. Just because a Wayspot does not appear on a gameboard, it does not meet removal criteria.

Yeh i realised reporting the wayspot wasn’t the best idea as it was a valid spot but was willing to try anything, i didn’t realise this support forum was a thing.

Also does this mean that a 2nd gym can finally form again?

That would be interesting to know, wait a day or two and see if a new gym appears. Please post the results here if and when it happens.
