Y’know, it’d be nice if the data could go a bit more in-depth. I had 287.660 visits this month, but I’d be very interested in seeing a full list of my nominations with their respective visit counts. Would love to know what my most ā€œpopularā€ nominations are.

I’m curious, how does one unlock a new area of the map? I’m not exactly sure how I did that.

Did get mine, so seems that they did roll out in batches.

Current working theory is creating the first Pokestop in a fresh L14 cell.

I did do that! Ok, now I’m going to try and find more like that this month and see if the numbers match.

Adding a wayspot to a 8x8 cell (L14) that was completely empty before.

My numbers are : Nominations Accepted 66, New Wayspots 52. Now, without going and checking any of these and not having an accurate map, I personally make that second number 54, which includes one nomination that was made in September and approved in October. I think that’s close enough.

But as I’ve been banging on about, there are nominations I had accepted in September that meet Power Spot inclusion rules, five of which I have seen on Campfire.

I think it is unlikely that my own tally is out by that much. I therefore conclude that Power Spots do not factor in the New Wayspots stat, which was my original question. I thought it worth knowing, and considering a lot of us have run out of local stuff to nominate that will generate a spinner, I would have liked to have had a tick in that box for getting a power spot into game.

My figures were Nominations Accepted 22, New Wayspots 22. I’m focussing on pokestops since I have such a huge backlog of photos to create submissions for. I read ā€œnew waystopsā€ as ā€œnew pokestopsā€ and didn’t even notice the actual phrasing.

The phrasing is incorrect, because powerspots created from wayspots are still wayspots in the wayfarer database, but a lot of people will read it the way I did.

no, no massive numbers here.

I haven’t reviewed since July 9. That agreement is from long ago. I don’t think a review could stay in the system without being pulled for an internal decision to get any agreements on the next email. Unless they make the review flow back to something I am comfortable using.

This matches my personal experience from last month. I ā€œopenedā€ 2 new areas. I had to drive about 40 minutes to get to those areas because my regular play area is so saturated. Lots of people have been filling it up since the original OPR days.

8.9 million visits I think is a new high from what I’ve been seeing. That’s wild!

I got my October stats lately too. Got 34 things added to the map this month, but my visit stats are a touch down from a month ago. Kinda curious why that may be…

And for comparison, my September stats:

I would definitely like more stats though. Which pokestop was most visited? Which was least visited? Are there some that have never been visited? Even if it’s just a random selection from the submitted wayspots rather than a comprehensive list.
