This one got refused and I have trouble figuring why. Could you help me understand please ?
Here is the place in gmap, visible
And joined the proposition
Description: little statue of toucan located on this old wall. A real game to make people discover it because it can easily be unseen.
i can barely see the toucan even in the main photo. i understand why the ML model rejected it, most likely as just a random place on a wall. i can’t think of a way to recommend that you take the photo for another try if you can’t get any closer than that.
i am not sure this has safe pedestrian access either, but i do see doors opening onto this street, so maybe it does. if you are convinced it is good wayspot, you can appeal this rejection. remember you have 2 appeals, each on a 20 day timer before you can use them again.
just in case you are prioritizing your appeals for wayspots which could become pokestops or gyms, i wanted to be sure you were aware that this would not be eligible since it is in an L17 S2 cell that already has wayspots
Thanks to both of you.
So even if I make a better photo, since it’s hard to find on streetview, low chances to have it accepted ?
Maybe I’ll precise it’s a pedestal center (car are allowed only to unpack things in that street for exemple)
I don’t mind if it doesn’t appear as PokeStop. Playing also Ingress (before pokemon), I know it more likely will appear in Ingress.
But I am interested. What’s the rule of amount of PokeStop per cell ?
i think if you could get it to voting, people would be able to tell it was there from the street view that exists.
there can only be one pokestop or gym in an L17 S2 cell. sponsored and older stops and gyms may break this rule, but that is the current algorithm for nominations we submit.
i don’t have any information on when wayspots will stop syncing into ingress as portals, but wayfarer is going to scopely and ingress isn’t. so far, they still are.
i don’t know the rules for power spots. but it seems like there are maximum of two active power spots in an L14 S2 cell, and there seems to be a distance requirement from other game locations.
Something on a building would presumably have safe pedestrian access from within the building. I always find it funny when reviewers don’t see it that way.
Well each country have their own condition. Certain place in my area also similar. Pedestrian is sharing road with small vehicle especially on small alley. But the question is if this toucan have some sort of story behind it. It would definitely increase the chance compared if its just random decoration.
I mean you can’t always see or reach things from high up either but that doesn’t matter for the games. As long as there is safe access to the waypoint from some direction I don’t think you need to be able to see it also.
