Easiest way ive found to get round it is dont say post box, instead submjt the cypher (even though tbere isnt a cypher lol). Though weirdly, people in my local area have been saying post boxes are beung accepted by ai
So just put ‘cypher’ in the title?
My template is usually
“Insert monarch cypher”
“Cypher for insert monarch, erected during their reign on the trhone of great britian and its empire, from x to y”
Basically avoid saying post box lol
That won’t get past a clever robot.
Luckily Emily is not a clever robot
I dont think I can type the cypher on a keyboard, though.
For title say… Insert Name of area then say VR Cypher Wall Post Box
Then for description. Something like.
Insert name of area’s wall Post Box with the Royal Cypher VR on the front. Post Boxes are also known as letter boxes. VR is the Cypher for Victoria Regina. Regina being Queen in latin. The crown was originally painted gold and the body red. The current colour is known as ‘Saorstát green’ or An Post green. Made of cast iron by WT Allan London between 1882 and 1885
Take a better picture. for sure. Find out the maker as that may well help confirm age range… it will also confirm original colour. As Red only came in about 1874. So if before it would have been olive, red then this green. And am sure the cypher on top will age it as well. As cyphers on the door came after a certain date.
Sneak into a library and find a book called The Irish Post Box by Stephen Ferguson. The interweb says it has more information that may help.
Ensure you say in supporting Place to explore. Explain why with a bit more history and include links to the supporting evidence. Even saying see paragraph X for dating. etc etc Also check street view. If easily seen. Say it. Seen on Google Street View (include link (remember to check link)
Good luck
add these two names… A. [Andrew] Handyside and Co., London and Derby, later the Derby Castings Company
I’ll try that next time I’m there, thanks for the help.
All postboxes in Ireland are green now.
Thanks!
