Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information): Didn’t get one
Additional Information (if any): The gym was approved on the wayfarer but after a few days it got deleted from the game, I’ve got no email or anything about the deletion
When making an appeal, you don’t really know why it was removed, so it isn’t always clear what you need to prove with your request. If a property owner asked for this to be removed, then Wayfarer staff have to abide by that decision. The things I can think of from looking at the map would be safe pedestrian access, permanence, and what kind of property this is, as farms are ineligible.
Staff may comment here if they have more questions before deciding the appeal.
I am sure none of the property owners asked for this to be removed because it wasn’t even up for that long and I am sure none of them even know what pokemon go is. It’s the main road of course it’s safe, it’s a sign of a tree why wouldn’t it be permanent, Its the public main road.
So I got 2 pokestops in the same cell to be accepted and for a couple days everything went well, one being transformed into a gym but now suddenly it disappeared. The pokestops were public tree signs for the same species but in different locations for other trees. I didnt get any emails about it. Should I do an appeal or is it expected ?
Where was this? We need more detail if you want the community to look at it for you. Scopley employees will at least need the title and location of the waypoint.
This is an unusual place to have such a sign. Usually, plant labels like this are found in parks, aboretums and similar public spaces where people are expected to visit, explore and spend time.
This is just a roadside. Do you have evidence that this sign exists and was placed here by a recognised authority or community group?
I was the one tasked with the information from that label (not the placement or the design, just the information as I am a biologist), I dont think there were made any public announcement about it, from what I’ve heard the company that contacted me was contacted by the Town Hall.
I dont think the placement is so odd once you know the following:
It’s right at the entrance/exit of the village
There are often marathons while on this road (Even bigger marathons like Maratonul Nordului went through here) - I dont have a photo evidence for this exact place as they make it hard to see past routes but I have attached a news article from 2017 that the village was implicated in such marathon
There is a road leading to a local Walking Trail (Unmarked officially, that’s why I didnt make submit a pokestop there)
EDIT: For 2. , I mean “Often” as in often for a small village that’s really close to a country border
You might need to provide evidence that its placed there officially and not placed to create wayspot. The removal indicate that there are other person that disagree with this wayspot.
I am not wayfarer staff so i dont know what can be considered enough evidence for staff. But from what i see so far, your case is not strong. Put yourself in reviewer point of view that know nothing of the area. How can you proof that you are tasked as biologist to put the information sign there and not just to create wayspot.
Personally i dont think company email is strong evidence anyway because it can be manipulated. Imho the best evidence would be some sort of publication.
I wasn’t tasked to putting the sign/choosing the location, I was only tasked with writing the information (for context), to be honest I am not sure who exactly was tasked with the location.
I am not sure there will be a publication of any kind because it’s a really small village, the signs are meant more for travellers, the only thing they advertise are just events, not really small projects like this.
For more context: This village has a population of like 600 and the 5 surrounding villages (including this one) is like 3k
If in this particular location there are like 3, 2 for Prunus Domesticus and 1 for Tilia Cordata
For Tilia Cordata the photo was too blurry so I might go back there to redo the photo
And there should be like 2-3 others but I didnt find them
And there should be another like 4-5 (I think) that should be put in the near future after they finish some road maintance.
It’s right at the entrance/exit of the village and a walking trail is nearby, this route is also going to a Old Historical Church so many times there is pilgrimace through this road
