I found out that a couple of wayspots at a local site have been replaced. Have submitted the replacement nominations. Question. Does one submit, hold, edit, request removal, wait for removal and then release for review, or does one just submit, edit, leave in queue and request removal?
Can you tell us more of what they were and what they are please?
For me, it depends on the Wayspot. If I think the Wayspot is likely to be marked as a duplicate of the removed one, I do the removal first. Otherwise I make the new submission first and do the removal once it is approved. That seems to keep the community happier.
There lies the problem. To me, the new nominations are significantly different to the old ones. But I don’t know how to best approach this.
If they are clearly different then just submit them like normal. You only need to worry if they mught be labeled as duplicate like Cyndie said above(cause its not like somone is going to pull up an s2 map and deny it cause it wont show in X game…plus that wouldnt be a valid rejection anyways) Once they get approved, then request the removal of the old one(s). I havent had any issues following this process
Both removal requests rejected.
Sigh….
Can you raise this in appeals section please.
Is it worth doing a scan mesh thing to support my appeal?
You could do or geotagged photos that show it’s not there. Essentially that’s all they need is visual evidence they have gone.
Just checked, the default camera app does support geotagging. I will get onto it when I can. It’s not super urgent, but just want to keep the Wayspots as current as possible.
