I apologize for any abuse I may have committed without knowledge, and for the lack of communication that prevented me from being aware of this, I ask you to please reconsider. My stance is for conciliation, we are a community and I believe that understanding and judging with justice the facts of both sides is vital for a healthy environment.
This is my point, this decision is unilateral and disregards the company’s communication failure that could have avoided this incident.
Niantic have given a final answer. @Mystogan5097 has been very kind and respectful in their responses.
Well, your sarcasm is not helping.
That reason appears when the submission is categorised as abusive for any reason.
Hello All,
I realize a suspension is disappointing especially for a game you love playing regularly. But I do want to clarify a few things. The Abuse Ladder that am linking below calls out that any step of the ladder can be jumped to as warranted. This means the warning step can be bypassed.
I do not know the specifics of the abuse as that is not shared by Niantic staff to the public on the forums, but the Abuse flag covers a broad set of items that could be offensive language or image, using a third party image, misrepresentation of a location (hiding that it is a school or private home, or misplacing the location of the pin. I suspect that this case was the location of the pin for it to appear in Pokemon Go. These are all things that are presented in the walkthrough, wayfarer criteria (eligibility and rejection reasons), in the nomination flow, and even as information in the community review flow.
So while it is frustrating that you somehow missed the warning email and splash screen (maybe you naturally missed it by not playing that day), I don’t think that this suspension in unwarranted. I realize this is not what you want to hear but as an Ambassador I want to help folks understand the system they are a part of. Sometimes that is in helping people with tips and tricks to improve their nominations while other times it’s reminding them of the rules in place for everyone.
@NianticAaron I ask you to please reconsider. I am willing to collaborate and provide all the necessary information
The problem is that Niantic sent the email to another address, it wasn’t for lack of viewing my inbox or for not playing on a certain day, I wouldn’t have seen these emails anyway.
That doesn’t change the fact that you were already expected to know and follow the rules as presented at a minimum in the walkthrough you had to review prior to being able to nominate for the first time and as part of the nomination flow.
I have difficulties with the English language and I am new to Wayfarer, the warnings were crucial so that I could understand a possible mistake and correct my conduct. That’s why I believe that my ban could be revoked on condition that no abuse occurs again, because only now I was aware of the warnings. Please have mercy and understanding with my case, I promise to be an exemplary user.
Warnings are not guaranteed, abuse can add up and bypass warnings.
Your difficulties with the English language are not stopping you from writing extremely well-presented posts with perfect grammar and phrasing.
I’m using Google translator to be able to communicate with the forum.
You can post in your own language as there is a translation function on these forums.
But the terms inform prior notice before suspension in case of recurrence. Please reconsider my case, I promise to follow the rules vehemently from now on and interpret them more vigorously.
I didn’t know this information, I thought the post would appear in Portuguese for English speakers. I’m new to Wayfarer, sorry for my lack of knowledge.
None of the ambassadors can reconsider your case as they are not Niantic employees. Only Niantic staff can reconsider and they have given a final decision. There is no chance of a further reconsideration. That is clearly difficult to come to terms with, so it might be worth stepping back for a while and seeing how you feel tomorrow.
It would appear in Portugese, but with a button below to translate to the reader’s native language (using google) so that the English/French/German/etc appears below the Portugese.
@RoIi112 @NianticAaron @LetsRollGirl Support team, I understood everything you told me. I promise to read the rules more carefully, overcome my difficulties with the English language and commit to being an exemplary player from now on. Since there was an internal problem when sending the warning emails (which went to another sender), I kindly ask you to suspend my temporary ban. I swear I had no intention of abusing the system, I swear that if I had been warned I would have corrected my conduct. I’m new to Wayfarer (although I’ve been playing Pokemon since 2016), I sincerely apologize. Pokémon Go is part of my health routine against obesity and depression, my routine in the game is extremely precious to my health. Since yesterday I haven’t been able to sleep, I had anxiety crises and a gigantic feeling of sadness. Please have mercy and try to help me this time. I promise to honor all my commitments from now on.
Thank you for the information
Hello Again @Alucarth2563
Because you mentioned English language difficulties may be part of why you had trouble with the rules I looked up in Pokemon Go and on the Wayfarer Forum settings to confirm that you can play and read in Portuguese if you are not already doing so.
For me, Pokemon Go was set to my phone’s default language. But I scrolled through the (impressive) list of available language options:
In the forum it is a bit harder to find but it is still in the settings area:
Also feel free to use whatever language you are most comfortable with here on the forum.
I know this doesn’t solve your current issue, but I wanted to make sure you knew this. And you probably are already playing in your native language, I probably misunderstood your comment.
