Request to Restore a Removed Pokéstop

Hello Niantic team,

I am writing this appeal in regard to the removal of a Pokéstop in my vicinity, the name is "Casa de José Hierro”, located in Calle Fuenterrabía 4, Madrid, Spain (40.406352, -3.681381).

This Pokéstop got removed out of nowhere, but it still appears in other Niantic games such as Monster Hunter Now and it shows as still active in the Niantic Wayfarer webpage. What I have seen in the Niantic Webfarer webpage is that the coordinates are correct, but the number on the street is not, appearing as number 15 instead of 4, which is the correct number. I don’t know if this is the reason why it disappeared, but I decided to make all data clear before doing anything by my own.

Following I will include images that show the proof of this POI being a permanent one, as well as it being accepted in Niantic Wayfarer and appearing as active, as well as showing that is the starting point of a route in-game:

Photo 1: Image of the plaque that represents this POI and Pokéstop

Photo 2: Information of the Pokéstop in Niantic Wayfarer

Photo 3: Route in-game to which this Pokéstop is associated

Photo 4: Map of Pokémon GO in which we can see that the Pokéstop is not appearing

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best regards,

sheldonv02

Seems like it’s blocked by El Gato sobre el Piano
40.406062,-3.681642 which might have been vandalized? Is the mural still there?

You could submit either of these which would most likely appear

Yeah, its still vandalized, and has been for more than a year.

I don’t understand then how we have had both Pokéstops at the same time then. Maybe it should be better if this graffitti were exchanged with the one I am making the reclamation of?

You might be able to report it for removal if I am interpreting this correctly.

The spot you are trying to get reinstated seems to still be on the map so it would most likely reappear

So i report it from inside of the Niantic Wayfarer map, and the request I made would already suffice for reinstating the other opne?

I will wait for someone to offer their opinion on if this would meet removal criteria but if it is removed the other one could reappear

I know we have seen a lot of requests to have these reinstated after removal, so I am certain they can be removed. I am not certain how to go about it. I think I would use the form linked here under “Wayspot Removals” to make Niantic aware of it, and they can decide what to do.

In case that link isn’t showing, I will repost it here: Reporting a Wayspot — Wayfarer Help Center

The options on this form rarely match what I want to do, but I have been told that I can just check anything, then explain what I am concerned about in the text box. If the acknowledgement email asks for my credentials as property owner, just ignore that. There is no need to reply unless a human asks for more information. I find this form to be quite effective.

Okay, so… after 2 days Im going to tell how it went. The Pokéstop I made this appeal for got deactivated in Niantic Wayfarer, it still appears on the map, but doesnt appear in the game. And the second Pokéstop, the one that was vandalized, got completely removed.
The mails I recived according to the first Pokéstop just told me they sent it to other people to check, but I cant find more POI, I should go visit a park or similar places.
Will try to ask againt on the game for the original Pokéstop, and will also try to ask for the two gyms as proposed before in this thread.

What do you mean by that and how long has it been since they removed the other one?

That it is still an approved ubication, but its not active in Pokemon GO. And the other one got eliminated yesterday afternoon, close to 7 or 8 pm CET

It should reappear within the next 48 hours
