Restoration Appeal: Wildbienenhaus Incorrect removal due to malicious reporting

Dear Wayfarer Support Team,

I am submitting an appeal for the restoration of the following Wayspots (Wildbienenhaus was also a Gym/Arena)

• 38442 Wolfsburg:

Reason for Appeal: This Wayspot was recently removed without any valid reason. I believe it was targeted by a local group of players who are systematically reporting valid POIs in this area to gatekeep the neighborhood.

Evidence of Validity:

1. Existence: The object (a nesting box / birdhouse) is permanently installed and still exists at the location.

2. Public Access: It is located on a public green strip between the sidewalk and the property line. It is NOT on private residential property (PRP). It is perfectly accessible from the public sidewalk without trespassing or interfering with private residents.

3. Criteria: This object promotes biodiversity and serves as a local point of interest for the community, meeting the criteria for exploration and being a great place for a walk.

• Status: Permanent playground equipment.

Reason for Appeal: I am requesting the restoration of the Wayspot “Nestschaukel für Kinder”, which was recently removed. This removal appears to be the result of a coordinated effort by a group of players to manipulate the local game board, rather than a reflection of the actual criteria.

Evidence of Eligibility:

1. Permanent Location: As seen in the attached screenshots from the original nomination, the swing is a fixed installation on a public playground (Kinderspielplatz).

2. Safe Pedestrian Access: The playground is located in a residential area at Karl-Heise-Straße 12, clearly separated from traffic and fully accessible to the public.

3. Core Criteria: Playgrounds are explicitly listed as great places for exercise and social gathering.

4. Current Status: The playground and the equipment are still physically present at the location. There is no reason for removal based on “Private Residential Property” (PRP) or “K-12” (the map shows it is adjacent to, but not on the grounds of, the Realschule).

Gedenkschild Eduard Mörike

Location: 52.411645, 10.724831 ***

Wolfsburg Country: Germany

Description of the Wayspot: A commemorative information plaque attached to a street sign, providing biographical details (birth/death dates and profession) about the famous German poet Eduard Mörike.

Reason for Appeal: I am appealing the removal of the Wayspot “Gedenkschild Eduard Mörike”. This spot was removed despite being a permanent, educational fixture in the neighborhood. It appears to have been targeted by a group of local players reporting valid spots to manipulate the game area.

Evidence of Eligibility:

1. Educational Value: Unlike a standard street sign, this plaque provides historical and biographical information about a significant cultural figure. Niantic guidelines encourage spots that promote exploration and learning.

2. Permanent & Fixed: The plaque is a permanent metal installation, as shown in the original submission photos.

3. Safe Pedestrian Access: It is located on a wide sidewalk at the intersection of Eduard-Mörike-Straße and Herzog-Franz-Straße, with plenty of room for pedestrians to stop and read without obstructing traffic.

4. Not on Private Property: The sign is located on public municipal land (street furniture) and is not on the grounds of a private residence, even though it is near a fence.

I kindly ask you to restore These Wayspots (and Wildbienenhaus Arena) and investigate the recent surge of removal reports in this specific area. It appears that the reporting system is being abused to harass local players and dismantle the local game infrastructure.

52.414051, 10.718818 - (Actual - 52.415261, 10.710035) This is definitely Single Family Private Residence Property (SFPRP).

Single-family private residential properties (SFPRP), farms, and K-12 (schools or facilities primarily focused for persons under 18 years of age) are ineligible. This includes the outer facing facade, fence of these locations, and property boundaries.

Not a staff member, but you should provide evidence of your statements and that they do still exist in locations that are eligible. I didn’t see a birdhouse from street view when I checked the first location for example, which does appear to be a single family private residential property.

It‘s Outside the private property on the city‘s ground. I meanwhile attached the photos. It has been a valid Pokestop for almost 5 years.

If you can show evidence that these are not on the School Grounds then you have a chance but only 1 piece of equipment should be used for the whole play park.

Playgrounds should be nominated as whole and not individual playground items. Even if the area includes separate slides, climbing frames, sandboxes and or swings, there should be one Wayspot nomination marking them all as a collection.

I can not find this using your co-ordinates and it is something I have not encountered in my reviews but I have seen several posts on the forum that discusses how much info it needs to make it eligible. I will leave this for others to advise.

It‘s not on private property.

Unfortunately, it is on SFPRP based on that photo, ignoring the location co-ordinates being incorrect. SFPRP includes the external boundary and that is in the hedge.

Just because no one else has said it yet, things like bird houses and bat boxes typically shouldn’t be nominated in the first place, as they’re not great places to socialise, exercise or explore, and on top of that, you could potentially be disturbing the wildlife from using them.

Don’t know the rules in Germany, but in Holland this is not private property. The roots of the hedge are in private property, but the overhanging branches are on public property. This also where the streetsign is.

Why? This rule makes no sense to me. We all just want to play and have fun. If you live in an area where there are no big murals or Statues - and our area even is one Third Covered with school property. Oh well,
Here Are photos that are evidence, that this playground is Public, there is eben a fence that Disconnects it from school property.
We would like to keep the swing then, please.

That‘s what I think. Also, it has been a valid stop during the past 5 years.
We have a group of Trainers in our town that are trying to delete everything that is Not in their area. They have several accounts each and there everyone Else out of „THEIR“ gyms downtown Fallersleben. Especially Kids in our town are super disappointed they always get kicken out Right away and Most of them don‘t have so much playing time on their phones. Now we are trying to get more pokestops and more gyms that are not right at downtown and These people are driving around here with their cars trying to get everything deleted. It‘s more than Frustrating.

It‘s a Box for Bees and Nobody is disturbing them. It’s also pretty high above the ground. It‘s a Place to learn that it is important to have Boxes like that to Protect creatures like bees. Our Planet depends on them.
