Restore removed trail markers

Hi Wayfarer team,

Several hiking trail and cycling markers are missing from a different trails trough the forest. I would like to request them to be restored. I will try to find more missing ones later but for now I am sure these two are missing:

Location: Gelderland, The Netherlands
Wandelroute Heumensoord 51.789897, 5.875507
Wandelroute Heumensoord 51.792353, 5.872627

Both are part of a hiking trail set out by the foresty organisation that manages this forest: Maldensch Vlak - Heumensoord | Natuurmonumenten

Please check this link - it is coming up as page unknown (“Deze pagina kunnen we niet vinden # Oh, verdwaald! Deze pagina kunnen we niet vinden.”)

Fixed it, thank you. The links on their website are a mess. I just copy pasted the link I found on Google but that is no longer working.

Hey and welcome to the forums,

Not under the best circumstances though.

I live in the Netherlanda and have many experience with these markers, it is good that you appealed them.

But this alone isn’t enough unfortunately.

A geotagged photo of the missing locations are best for staff to check. And why this part of the route is interesting can also help.

As a last note for now, do know that the park owners might have requested a geoblock on this area (probably not, but the possibility is there.)

If you have any other questions or information regarding the appeal do include them here.

Quick question for those in the know

Should geo-fenced waypoints still show on the “Submit Map”?

Just checked the 1st co-ordinates and it doesn’t, wonder if this confirms whether it is definitely not geo-blocked?

From previous posts, I think the answer is: it depends.

Sometimes the waypoints are left there to stop people submitting duplicates. Sometimes they are removed completely. So the lack of waypoints (where they existed previously) doesn’t guarantee no geo-block.

(I have 95% confidence in this answer.)

For this set of trail markers, there is a real trail with a website, so the removal feels curious.

These markers were removed a while ago, I guess from before trail markers became acceptable wayspots. Local players also posted about the mass removal of hiking trails back on the old forum.

Hi, @Gikaru! We have taken another look, but stand by our decision to remove the Wayspots in question.
