Have Niantic given up on trying to pretend that they actually care about individual safety or the philosophical ideas about not adding things on emergency services, schools etc?
I know y’all got in a tizzy when they added horrible Powerspots and you could see them on your map but this is ok?
I mean it’s only Brazil right? Who cares if someone in Brazil gets run over by a car, a school gets added, nursing homes, infertility clinics…

But the Wayfarer team will continue to threaten us with a ban if we do anything wrong.
I would love to help them out with decent quality power spots, and submit lots of valid, open, commercial business premises, but I have been told that will get me in trouble so that’s that i guess.

Yep, I sure love how the new power spots can fill the game with outdated slop and countless private companies, but when we try to do the same, we get shut down if not straight-up punished.

I suppose we can conclude that the metaphor means the database will have some things of the highest quality, ie the crown jewels non- slang variety, but the slang variety also gets in there too
Niantic Wayfarer’s map data, like their acclaimed Overture Maps, is nothing but junk.
Around the time the Wayfarer team became an independent group, they didn’t understand the advantages of their data and just continued to augment the weaknesses.
So no one will be surprised if this happens.
