September Wayfarer Challenge?

It’s not still a B&B?

On @Aquablast64’s question

Where is the next big Go event?

Wherever you are you won’t be getting a challenge.

#Overturedump

Nope, not still a B&B
I have walked down that road, there are no signs for B&Bs and the Google thing for it says permanently closed

You should knock on the door and tell them

That the wisteria is going to cause havoc to their roof tiles.

Its a gorgeous house isnt it! The streets near me are full of victorian terraces like this with the pretty brickwork patterns

I love the wisteria… my house is too baking hot and dry at the front for anything like that

The bins, the net curtains, the broken electrical box and the janky old analogue aerial.

:uk:

Well, I was focussing on the good bits

Maybe as a new challenge we could do a business submit and review challenge where we submit real local businesses that exist and arent at peoples houses, and review them to different criteria, and Niantic can use those for max spots instead

I would love the irony of Ingress people doing reviews to get us better Powerspots :joy_cat:

It would help ingress too, indirectly?

Maybe modelling better submissions would help people not submit their houses just because they work from home

Unrelated to wayfarer but is that police box in bradgate park near Loughborough because i can slightly remember something like that some time ago when I last went there and thinking to myself why is doctor who in a park with deers

It’s a 1931ish box originally in North Kilworth then moved to Bradgate in the 50’s maybe.

There’s another similar type at the Abbey Pumping Station that was originally in Lutterworth.

So this is a specific wayfarer challenge

Might have to visit there again, it’s a nice part of Leicestershire. Bradgate park is a lot bigger and better overall than my usual one which is wollaton park in nottingham, unless you’re a fan of batman.

Another fact is that gotham city was originally named after the small village of gotham (goat-em) in south nottinghamshire

I think what would give me more confidence and incentive to review again and join another challenge would be more information on my agreements and disagreements

What Id love would be a personalised email sent out post challenge showing some stats ie

  • How many reviews were done, split by edits and new waypoints
  • how many decisions were reached, split by edits and new waypoints
  • agreements and disagreements for both types
  • some examples of agreements and disagreements and what the result was

This might help see what is going well and what isnt going well and I would love all the stats. Many companies do these kinds of emails about their usage, activities, “year in review” type things. I think itd be a nice challenge review for us
