It’s been quite a while since the last challenge. If I remember correctly, when challenges first started, niantic said that there would be a challenge at least once every quarter. But there wasn’t a challenge at all last quarter and this quarter isn’t that far from being over and nothing new has been announced yet either. When will we get news on challenges?
The regular wayfarer experience isn’t particularly interesting for me, but I find challenges to be more enjoyable. I hope they will announce something soon…

Last month NianticTintino mentioned here that the team has been assessing the backlog to determine when the next challenge would be. I guess this means more to come, but I guess we’ll see

Yes, let Niantic fix the issues first before having another global challenge. We wouldn’t want to be having major issues unresolved during a global challenge.
I’m just going to wait patiently until Wayfarer starts working better to be concerned about the next challenge.

If you want to hold a Challenge project, you need to solve the problem of Emily’s intelligence being POOR.
I don’t think there ever will be a challenge ever again, the state of the backlog a month ago didn’t justify it and I’ve seen entries from last year that were ‘in voting’ suddenly resolved by Emily in my personal backlog, that means the AI is slowly going over old entries as well.
The only reason a challenge was done, was to keep the backlog under control, now that that has been achieved by AI and is probably getting better, why would you want to hand out extra rewards to the community?

hope we see one again soon! maybe the flood of upgraded edits could be addressed, or we could do worldwide challenge with reviews pulled from everywhere.
